Shop away from Base

I just read all those updates on the Runes Reforged and it got me thinking. There was a MOBA released that you could shop anywhere on the map and a small squirrel-like creature with a big satchel Ziggs would run the items from your base to you out on the field. With the new Runes Reforged, I'm seeing RIOT basically have a ton of fun creating new little (some big) passives and actives, and i want a piece of that action. This made me think of the delivery squirrel. This would definitely need to fall under the kiss/curse Runes category Meddler? was talking about. The fact is, having to not back for items would be insanely good, only instant downside is no restores from returning to the nexus. But imagine a good mid-game push where you only have lost a bit of mana and health, you want to keep going, but you're sitting on perfect farm, a tower or two, and a bunch of kills (basically a lot of gold). You could press on but don't have the damage or teleport...then you buy items away from base.

Of course, this is a must as a kiss/curse when I look at it. It would help an oppressive lane far too much if they took this without repercussions. While the repercussions need to be something that will not be much of a problem if you are already behind or playing extremely safe. Some of my ideas were...

KISS ...Rune that lets you start the game with an active item that consumes to place an order in the shop... ...Able to buy an item that allows you to shop away from base...

CURSE ...Items are shot in a cannon from base, land somewhere near you as a package. You need to channel on the package for a set time to get the items, enemies can do the same to destroy the package. You can pick up a destroyed package from base on your next back... ...Minion-like creature runs out items too you, can be intercepted and killed... ...Need to channel without any interruption for a longer period (8 seconds? That of a recall) to receive the items...

I think some pairs or extensions of these would allow for risky shopping from ahead players, while pretty much safely delivered items to those behind.

Change'a from smite? Oh everyone in that community hates her passive, it's completely useless.

You are thinking of the courier from Dota 2. One player would buy it, then later upgrade it to have flying, and a player could order it to put bought items in its own inventory and bring it to you.

To have it in League in some form would be an interesting idea, but because the map isn't nearly as big and returning to base and back to lane isn't the biggest hassle in the world in this game, it's kind of not too needed. The one time I see it as being good is when the top laner is snowballing and never needing to return to get their new items, in which case it would actually be too helpful.

A good concept for Dota do to its massive size, but maybe not the best for League. What I wouldn't mind though is glyph of fortification, but I digress.
