Why chest keep giving me champ shard when I owned all champs

So I owned all Champs in league, and I brought a lot of chests hoping to get some skin shards. but the chest keeping giving me about 50% champ shard. I don't think this is fair enough. because the champ shards are totally useless to me now, does it mean the value of a chest have to decrease if we buy all the champions? league should change this, to say, if you own every champ, then the chest should only give you skins until there is a new champion coming out. [zombie-brand-clap]

Reroll the skin shards into the new champs when they come out

Use them to craft your mastery levels.

Though I agree the drop rate could be lower

Champ shards aren't useless -- if you combine 3 champion shards, you should unlock a random, permanent champion. This is useful when, say, a new champion releases. :)

If you only got shards when a new champion came out, you'd never have enough Champion Essence to unlock them as a permanent, as you'd never get any of the right kind of Essence by disenchanting Champion shards!

you can use the champion shards to upgrade your champion mastery if you have all the champs. So say if your board one day and you have a, lets say kled, champion shard you can work towards getting the mastery 6 tokens and use the shard to get the mastery for free rather than spend essence incourageing you to play champs you may not understand or play often.

Why are you even buying chests with actual money if you can just get them for free =_= Just like you can get champions for IP, I do not get why people throw away money like this when they can get the same stuff (albeit a little slower) for free o.O

absolutely agree...its bs that u receive any champ shard if u own them all...this is just greed!
