Golden Drake
What about another type of drake which gives you additional ambient gold generation and/or a few % more gold for everything in general.

This would bring back the issue of the really early dragons. They gave gold instead of passive buffs. They felt bad because you couldn't really tell a difference. 200 G for each teammate is 1k gold, a lot of gold but it's not as interesting and impactful as being able to do 10% more damage to baron.
