Lore _Over the centuries, legend has it that a vile monstrosity has been lurking in the murky swamps of Demacia. Few travelers have ever dared to venture to these unknown, dangerous disease-filled lands. However, the few that have lived to tell the tale speak of a hideous creature- some say that it was a experiment gone wrong, others say that it was a remnant of a time long ago. _

Laggard, a foul creature that towers over the lower creatures of the swamps, has a long rivalry with Tahm Kench that dates back not so long ago. Legend has it that Laggard captures and consumes it's prey by slowing it's prey and eventually regurgitating his own digestive acids to ultimately kill the prey alive- slowly.

Laggard is a tanky fighter that shreds enemies of their armor with various poisons that can stun or slow enemies who dare engage.

(**Laggard **is similar to Singed or Leona )

Abilities

Passive: Slime Mark

Laggard marks enemies that he damages to with a spell or basic attack.

1st Mark Laggard's first mark on an enemy renders a 5(%scales per level) armor reduction on the enemy for 3 seconds.

Second Mark Laggard's second mark on an enemy places a damage-over-time effect(15 dps which scales per lvl.) for 3 seconds.

Third Mark Laggard's third mark on an enemy places a 15% movement speed slow on them for 1.5 seconds.

Q: Acid Cloud 50 mana/60/70/80/90 10/9/8/7/6.5 second CD

Laggard excretes a deadly cloud of acid directly in front of him for 1.5/2/3/4/5 seconds that silences all enemy champions while they remain inside the cloud. In addition, enemies take an initial 30/45/60/75/90 (+ AP %) magic damage per second while they remain inside.

W: Hardened Shell No Cost 12/10/8/7/6 second CD

Passive _Laggard _ gains 10/20/30/35/40 armor and magic resist.

Active Laggard removes his passive to strengthen his shell for 2.5/3/4/4.5/5 seconds. During this time, Laggard gains a shield that absorbs all damage for 50/75/100/150/175 points and returns 2/3/3.5/4/4.5% of all damage received during this time to the enemy. However, when Hardened Shell is on cooldown, Laggard loses his passive and has his attack speed and movment speed slowed by 20/30/35/37.5/40% for 1.5 seconds.

E: Lash 25 mana/30/40/50/65 9/7/6.5/6/5 second CD

Laggard flails his long tail at a target enemy, stunning them briefly for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds if the enemy has 3 marks and dealing 50/75/100/125/150 physical damage(+ Physical damage). Otherwise, the enemy is slowed by 15%/16%/17%/17.5%/18% of their movement speed for 1.5 seconds, and instead deals 75/100/125/150/200 physical damage.

R: Acid Consumption 100 mana/125/150/175/200 40/35/32.5/30/27.5 second CD

Passive Laggard secretes a short slime trail behind him that damages all champions/minions behind him for 4/6/8% of Laggard's total Ability Power.

Active Laggard deals an initial 100/200/300 magic damage(+ Ability Power) and applies 3/5/7(+2% for every 50 Ability Power) in magic damage to enemies around him for up to 150 units in range for 10 seconds. In addition, all enemies that he damages during this time will all instantly receive 3 Slime Marks.

Laggard, the Lumbering Slug Primary Role----------------------

Secondary Role

Support --- Fighter/Tank

Base Stats-------------------------

Health: 590 (110 per lvl, 2570 at lvl 18)
Mana: 310 (+40 per lvl, 1030 at lvl 18) AD: 44 (+2.5 per lvl, 89 at lvl 18) Range: 125 (Melee) AS: 0.625 (+2.5% per lvl, 0.891 at lvl 18) Armor: 45 (+4.5 per lvl, 126 at lvl 18) Magic Resist: 50 Movement Speed: 315(flat)

Strengths

  1. Well-round frontline tank that can take quite a punch, mainly for jungle and supporting on bot lane.
  2. Good harrassing with Lash that can help pick off enemies should they run with Three Slime Marks, which gives a brief stun that can help initiate team fights.
  3. His ult's passive is especially useful if his team is trying to run away from the opponents, it will mean that they cannot directly follow Laggard.
  4. His ult's active is useful if they should all gang up on Laggard, since his ult will deal an initial damage to all enemies in proximity of him, as well as a damage-over-time effect.
  5. Laggard's Acid Cloud is a useful silence that act's like Soraka 's silence, except that it happens in front of him, which is useful to negate any direct abilities the opponent may use.
  6. His Hardened Shell passive and active are both fairly useful situational, where he can deal damage back to the enemy should they attack him on his active.

Weaknesses

  1. Laggard is a melee champion, with few ranged attacks as his Acid Cloud can only be used directly in front of him.
  2. His Lash is the only way to hurt someone from a distance, and should mainly be used as individual crowd control.
  3. He has very low mobility with no ways to escape, if he should get caught.
  4. His Hardened Shell is useless when it is on cooldown- and if his active on it is active, enemies can easily avoid targeting him.
  5. His ultimate Acid Consumption's passive is only useful if the enemy is chasing him and if they are directly behind him.
  6. His ultimate's active is only useful with sustain IF the enemy remains in proximity of Laggard.

Build Laggard's build is somewhat similar to a Nautilus should he be jungling, or a support like Blitzcrank . item 3302 will be especially useful to heal him up if he is in bot lane, as it will grant the ADC health as well as him, along with item 3401 's Active can be fairly useful if he should be engaging with his Hardened shell and Acid Consumption at the ready.

Counterplays Again, he can be poked the heck out and harassed to death before he gets in ranged, but since he is very tanky, armor shredding champions like Teemo or champions with crowd control and stuns such as Bard or Annie can keep him at bay.

Summary In general, this is what I got you for you guys, let me know what you think. Again, Laggard is a balanced champion that is very tanky, and is Ability-Powered which can really help the damage his Acid Cloud and Lash abilities out with. If real plays are made with him, then he can easily get in the middle of the fray of a team fight with his ult, and continually damage enemies around of him while easily silencing enemies with his Acid Cloud and Lash can help make sure enemies can't get away very easily. He also has potential, should his team be on the run as he can Lash at the enemies chasing him, continually giving his Passive: Slime Mark stacks to slow the enemy down and to potentially open up a gateway to shread the opposing team's armor.

Should Laggard have the way he wants, his late-game will be very very strong with his passive and active from his Hardened Shell and items such as item 3143 or item 3102 can really help him stay in the fight with plenty of crowd control options.

Thanks for reading this! Let me know what you guys think ^^

it would be cool if for his hardened shell he actually grew a shell on his back like a snail for that duration
