[Draven Complete Rework Ideas]

Ok, so last night I had a dream: It was about Draven getting 'reworked'. I think that Draven is a bit underwhelming compared to his lore. Yeah, I realise: Draven is a strong champ, pretty balanced too. I think that he lacks mechanic-wise, there isn't really much other than catch your axe several times, while spamming Bloodrush with the occasional Whirling Death = GG. I am gonna post Draven's lore in this page for all of you to use as a reference for my ideas of a rework.

> _ Unlike his brother Darius, victory in battle was never enough for Draven. He craved recognition, acclaim, and glory. He first sought greatness in the Noxian military, but his flair for the dramatic went severely underappreciated. Thirsting for a method to share ''Draven'' with the world, he turned his attention to the prison system. There he carved out the celebrity he desired by turning the tedious affair of executions into a premiere spectacle. > At Draven's first execution, he shocked onlookers when he ordered the doomed prisoner to run for dear life. Just before the man managed to flee from sight, Draven brought him down with a flawless throw of his axe. Soon, all Draven's executions became a gauntlet through which Noxian prisoners raced for a final chance at life. He used this trial as his own personal stage, and turned executions into a leading form of entertainment. He rallied onlookers into a frenzy, while desperate prisoners scrambled to evade him. They never succeeded. Rejecting the solemn, black uniforms of Noxian executioners Draven donned bright outfits and developed flashy signature moves to distinguish himself. Crowds flocked to see Draven in action, and tales of his performances spread quickly. As his popularity grew, so did his already-inflated ego. He belonged at the center of attention. Before long, the scope of his ambitions outgrew the population of Noxus. He decided that the glorious exploits of Draven should be put on display for the entire world. > '' 'The best' is wherever I decide to set the bar each day.'' > -- Draven > _ >

Passive - League of Draven Remains Unchanged

Q - Spinning Axe Changes Into A Skillshot. Imagine a Varus Q, where he charges up his bolt then fires. It could be a similar thing with a Draven's Axe. You throw it a set range (probably Draven's individual vision range until the fog of war [due to lore: Draven's First Execution].) then it bounces back, or it would be an instant thing, press Q to instantly throw an axe a set range (like a Mundo Cleaver) and have it bounce back. The Axe will be a single target ability, like a Nidalee Spear. Mana Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Damage Bonus: 75+(1 : 1 AD)/100+(1 : 1 AD)/125+(1 : 1 AD)/150+(1 : 1 AD)/175+(1 : 1 AD) I would make the Hit box as thin as Mundo's Cleaver, so it would be incredibly difficult to hit the farther away the target
is. It would also make landing an Axe very satisfying. Cooldown: 30s/25s/20s/15s/10s If you catch the Axe, Mana is refunded, and the Cooldown is refreshed

W - Blood Rush Changes Into A Dash. Instead of movement speed being added, it moves Draven towards the mouse cursor. Mana Cost: 60/60/60/60/60 Attack Speed Buff: Unchanged

E - Stand Aside Remains Unchanged

R - Whirling Death Changes To Executioner's Axe. Draven throws a targeted Axe that chases an enemy, upon impact it deals 50/100/150 Attack Damage and bounces off. If Draven catches this Axe, he immediately throws an Execution Axe, this Axe chases down the target and does bonus Execution damage based on the target enemy's missing health. 50+(1% More Damage - 1% Missing Health)/100+(1% More Damage - 1% Missing Health)/150+(1% More Damage - 1% Missing Health)

You just turned him to an easy to play champion :D

Essentially you changed the axe minigame into another Gnar Q and changed his Ult into a stronger version of said Q.

Q: 30 seconds at rank one on a basic ability which is a primary damage tool is way too high, if you don't catch the axe at level 1, you're locked out of trades until level 2, which is a YUGE YUGE minus. While the cooldown and mana cost refreshes and is refunded, you've practically made it into an Ezreal Q that is a lot less forgiving, and really wonking. W; 12 second cooldown on a steroid/ dash, (because you didn't specify a cooldown change) which doesn't have it's cooldown reduced (such as with Lucian's Relentless Pursuit, Graves' Quickdraw, Ezreal's Arcane Shift, Twitch's Ambush, Tristana's Rapid Fire, Caitlyn's Headshot or Vayne's Tumble, is really bad which basically makes Draven's W a one point wonder. E: Meh. R: This should be spammable then, especially if it does less damage than his Q, especially because there are a ton of better execute skills in the game (Elise's Venomous Bite, Jinx's Super Mega Death Rocket!, Nidalee's Takedown, Ekko's Parallel Convergence, Fizz's Seastone Trident etc.)

The ideas have potential, but the numbers are poorly balanced.
