From the moment they are born, Rak'Shar have their own type of energy that is unique to their species. At first, they can only use this energy to perform simple tricks, such as levitating or telekinesis, but as they learn to use their power over the course of many centuries, a skilled Rak'Shar can concentrate their energy into a physical form. When fully properly controlled, this blue and white energy can shatter entire mountain ranges. When Rak'Shar die, their energy is released. This newly freed energy automatically seeks out the nearest Rak'Shar to reside in, resulting in some Rak'Shar going on a murderous rampage in the hopes to gain more power to add to their own.

The planet of the Rak'Shar, Nura, was home to over a million Rak'Shar who reside in their great city of Telemantis. Within this massive city was the Grand Council Chamber, where the fifteen members of the Grand Council reside. The members of this council are Rak'Shar who had lived for thousands of years and have incredible mastery and skill with their power. Their job is to maintain the peace within Telematis and to teach each new generation of Rak'Shar how to properly manage and grow their strength. Every so often an individual would try to rapidly gain power by murdering others and taking their energy. Often times the councilmen would be the only ones with the strength to stop them. The Rak'Shar involved in these events were always arrogant and headstrong. Although the average Rak'Shar could not match these individuals, the members on the Grand Council could easily deal with them with thousands of years of practice of manipulating their energies. The Grand Council always had to be vigilant to prevent such tragedies.

Enter Zeras and Zemas, two young Rak'Shar brothers. Zemas was incredibly talented. By the time he was nine hundred years old, a relatively young age for his kind, he had grown his power into a force that equaled those on the Grand Council. Zeras on the other hand, was never able to catch up to his twin brother. He was always jealous of his skill and could never get the same recognition that Zeras received by their people. This jealousy slowly grew to resentment, and the resentment grew to hatred. Zeras watched his brother join the Grand Council, which only made his hatred grow. He kept his true feelings hidden from his brother as he began to form a plan to gain power; he would become stronger no matter the cost.

Although Zeras did not have the skill or the power that his brother had, he was very intelligent and calculating. He knew that killing the citizens of Telemantis would not give him the strength fast enough to take down his brother; the Grand Council would notice and stop him easily. He had to take down a Grand Council member in order to gain the power he sought.

Most of the time, the Grand Council members would be together. There are only a few times the members are alone, and one of those times is during the night when they sleep. Zeras entered the Grand Council Chamber with a simple plan; kill one of the members and then kill his brother. He only needed the power from one. Zeras entered the personal chamber of one of the members, and killed him with a focused blast of energy. The blue and white wisps of power surged forward, and the Councilman died instantly. His energy rushed out and seeked out the closest Rak'Shar, and upon finding Zeras, it flooded toward him. The incredible power nearly overwhelmed him. Never had he possessed such power. He tried to walk out, but energy leaked out with every step he took, destroying all it touched with its bright blue radiance.

The commotion caused by this awakened the other Councilmen, who found Zeras struggling to control himself. Zemas stepped toward him to try and help, but was knocked across the great hall. This prompted two other members from the Grand Council to attack Zeras. If Zeras was killed, then the power would enter a Councilman who would be able to control it. Zeras saw this despite being nearly blinded by the energy coursing through him. He tried to block the attack with his newfound power, but his inexperience and lack of control cause him to not only block the attack of the Councilmen, but reflect it back with more power. The Councilmen fell, their bodies shredded and lifeless. Their energy poured out, seeking a new body to reside in. Zeras saw the lifeless bodies of the Councilmen, he saw that he was closest to them, he knew the energy would soon overwhelm him, and he was afraid. Never had Zeras imagined the amount of power the Councilmen had stored away. There was simply no way he could control the power of three.

The energy rushed into him. The pain Zeras felt brought him to his knees. Never before had a single Rak'Shar held so much power. Zemas got up and rushed quickly to strike down his brother before more damage was done, but the uncontrolled energy blocked his every attack. The other eleven Councilmen attempted the same, but with similar results. The only way to kill Zeras was if they unleashed their full power, but doing so would result in the potential destruction of their entire city. They could only hold off Zeras until the energy destroyed him. For the first time since Zeras' attack, those in the Grand Council felt fear, worry, and doubt pass through them. Through the overwhelming power, Zeras tried to finish what he came to do. He gathered all his anger and as much power as he could, and unleashed it in a wave at the opponents surrounding him.

The attack was incredibly fast, and the Council had little time to defend themselves. What power each individual could use to block Zeras' attack was no match for the uncontrolled power of their three fallen comrades. Even Zamas, who predicted the attack would come, could not create a shield strong enough or fast enough to protect himself.

The Council fell at once, and Zeras, who had spent centuries full of anger now felt a new wave of emotions. He felt all these emotions in just a few seconds of time, the first being satisfaction. He had killed the one he hated most, the one who was claimed to be the most talented Rak'Shar in recent memory. However, he did have to kill others to do so, which brought him to the second feeling, a feeling of fear. The power from the first three Councilmen still surged inside him, and he still had no control over it. What's more, he had just killed twelve more. He had no idea what the power would do to him.

As the power began to enter him, Zeras could feel his body being torn away. The energy could not be contained within him, and had begun to lash out and destroy the Grand Council Chamber. As more of power from the fallen Councilmen entered Zeras, the resulting damage to his surroundings became more severe, reaching out into the city of Telemantis and striking down its citizens. This brought another emotion to Zeras: guilt. He had focused so much on his goal that he did not realize the consequences of his mad play for power. Although he had hated his brother, he truly loved his people, and as more Rak'Shar died, his pain and sadness grew.

Zeras' body was reaching a breaking point. His chest suddenly burst, releasing an incredible blast of uncontrolled energy across the city and the surface of Nura, washing everything in a bright white and blue light. All living things hit by the blast were vaporized, including every Rak'Shar, which released their energy to seek a new host. However, the only host available was currently being destroyed by his own energy. Although he was close to death, Zeras was still technically the last Rak'Shar alive. The energy from his people slammed into him like a raging river. The burst of additional energy tore what was left of his body apart, resulting in an explosion that destroyed both him and the planet Nura.

Zeras suddenly awoke. He was confused, unsure of where he was, what had happened. He tried to remember, but all he could recall was an unbelievable pain and the feeling of uncontrollable energy surrounding him. Then it hit him at once; his anger, his rage, his plan, his actions, his fear, his guilt. As the feeling of despair passed over him, he realized that he should not be feeling such a way. He should not be feeling at all. He shouldn't be alive. Only now did he realize his complete lack of substance. He tried opened his eyes, but he could not. He tried to move his arms, but found he had none. He tried to move his body in any way, but was unsuccessful. He noticed he did not have the ability to feel anything physically. "Is this the afterlife?" Zeras asked himself.

Confused by this, he tried to see if he could still use his energies. He felt the all-too-familiar presence of the overwhelming power that brought an end to his people, only this time, it wasn't as overpowering as before. Suddenly, Zeras began to see light. The light grew and Zeras realized what was happening: his energy was recreating an eye for him to see! Excited by this, Zeras patiently waiting until he was able to see clearly. All he could see was the blue and white of the energy surrounding him. The energy continued to form itself into a new head and neck, but not the old organic head he used to have, but one comprised of the blue and white energy that was used by his people. He looked down and saw that the energy was manifesting itself into a new body, a body suitable to house the immense energy he had gained from his kind. Zeras saw how the energy was acting, and tried to manipulate it to create his body faster. As the strands of energy formed and added to his body, Zeras' proficiency grew. Once the energy strands were woven together to form his torso, he directed his energy into creating new limbs.

When his reincarnation was completed, Zeras faced his new reality. With the blood of his entire race on his hands, the immeasurable guilt Zeras felt would be his greatest enemy. It was then, floating in space where his planet once was, he vowed to find a way to atone for what he had done. His first step was to fully master his newfound power. He thought that perhaps, by utilizing the entire power of the Rak'Shar, he could unlock a way to bring back those he had killed.

As Zeras traveled through space, he tried to teach himself how to use the energy inside him. Although the power was under his control and calm within him, he had no idea how to utilize any of it properly. Through his travels, Zeras learned of the League of Legends, and believed it would be the perfect place for him to unlock his true potential.

Statistics

Health: 550 (+75) Health Regen: 7 (+1.5) Energy: 100 Energy Regen: 1/2/3 Range: 450 Attack Damage: 60 (+3) Attack Speed: 0.65 (+3%) Armor: 25 (+3) Magic Resist: 25 (+3) Movement Speed: 350

Abilities

Energy Armor (Passive) Zeras' new body is perfect for housing his energy, but not for taking damage, so he must use his energy to protect himself. Zeras also uses his energy to perform abilities. ---- Energy is set at 100 and regens at 1/2/3 energy per second. ----As long as Zeras has above 10 energy, he receives a shield that grows in power with his level.
----30 (+15) + 33.333% (+.01852 per level (max 66.667% @ 18 => max 500 shields)) with a damage reduction of 5/10/15%. ----Monsters and minions do an additional 50% reduced damage to Zeras' shield post-damage mitigation (e.x.: a 100 damage attack only does 50 damage due to Zeras' armor/magic resist and his shield's damage reduction, then the 50 damage is reduced by 50% for a final damage of 25). ----Armor and Magic Resist apply to his shield. ----Shield recharges at 10% per second so long as Zeras has not taken damage from an enemy champion within 8 seconds and he has more than 10 energy remaining. ----If Zeras drops below 10 energy, any amount of shield he has falls, any damage he takes becomes true damage, the shield cannot be regenerated for 20 seconds after Zeras reaches 10 energy again, and the shield regenerates at half the normal rate. ----If the shield is broken by an enemy, the shield cannot be regenerated for 20 seconds, and the shield regenerates at half the normal rate (assuming Zeras still has 10 energy), the exception being should Zeras' energy fully recharge to 100, his shield fully recharges over 3 seconds. Being damaged by an enemy pauses the recharge for 1 second. ----Shielding received by outside sources, such as items and ally abilities, only work at 25% efficiency on Zeras and cannot go over his max Energy Armor value.

Q: Energy Storm ----Active: Zeras causes his energy to swirl around himself in a circle, damaging enemies around him and assisting allies. ----Should an ally be guarded with Protective Barrier, Energy Storm is also cast around them. ----If Protective Barrier is removed, Energy Storm on the ally ends. ----Energy Storm has a radius of 400. ----Duration: 4 seconds. ----Damage per second: 10/20/30/40/50 (+75% Ability Power) to all enemies within Energy Storm. ----Mana Drain per second: 5/10/15/20/25 from enemies. Mana is then evenly redistributed to Zeras' allies within the storm. ----Cast Cost: 5/5/6/6/7 energy. ----Cooldown: 12 seconds.

W: Protective Barrier ----Active: Zeras shares his Energy Armor with an ally. Energy Armor gains additional armor and magic resist. Any damage done to the ally is instead done to Zeras' Energy Armor. ----Armor and magic resist bonus: 10/20/30/40/50 ----Initial Cast Cost: 7/8/9/10/11. ----Cost to maintain: 1/1/1/2/2 energy per second. ----Ability wears off after 10 seconds automatically. This ability can be recast on Zeras to remove Protective Barrier early. ----Ability also ends if the Energy Barrier is broken. ----Cooldown: 20 seconds.

E: Hardened Shield ----Passive: Energy Armor's damage reduction increased by 1/2/3/4/5 percent. ----Active: Reinforces Energy Armor for a short duration, bringing it back to its full strength for a short duration. At the end of the ability, the Energy Armor shield is disabled. ----Duration: 1 second. ----Cast Cost: 8/8/9/9/10 energy. ----Cannot be cast if the cast cost would result in Zeras dropping below 10 energy. ----Cooldown: 40 seconds.

R: Overwhelming Power ----Active: Zeras unleashes his energy, empowering his attack damage, movement speed, and Energy Storm. ----Increases auto attack damage and movement speed by 5/10/15% per 10% of Zeras' remaining energy. ----AA damage also increased by 20/35/50% of Ability Power for the duration. ----Increases Energy Storm's damage by 5/10/15% per 10% of remaining energy, and duration by 2/4/6 seconds. ----Initial Cast Cost: 5 energy. ----Cost to maintain: 10% energy per second. ----Automatically ends when Zeras runs out of energy. ----Can be cast a second time after 5 seconds to end early. ----Cooldown: 150/120/90 seconds.

Hope you enjoyed my ideas and my lore. It was my first time writing lore for anything so I hope it turned out alright! Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Like the lore, very interesting. Very detailed.

His passive is super neat, very unique. I quite enjoy that. He would be a knock-off Ryze build for sure, building frozen heart, arch angels, and abyssal as his core build. However the 400% increased damage is a little too much. 100 or 200 percent would be more than enough to balance this feature to the champion. Even so, with 100% increase he would be an instant target by any enemy.

The reduction he gains on damage is a little over the top even without including his E, especially if magic resistance and armor increase his reduction, you could easily see a 100% reduction at full build/level 18 while building DPS. Running out of mana.. will kill him, instantly. Especially with an increased damage to him once he runs out of mana after that 10 seconds. He will be a super mana hungry champion, and by level 3 when he's out of mana, he'll be first blood against any skilled enemy.

As he does not have any real ranged attacks, he's a sitting duck to being zoned against any ranged attacks. All awhile his ADC requires him/her to be at range, this character will want to be in the enemies face. Of course, great on paper and the idea of taking focus, but any low level fight.. he'll be out of mana, and dead.

Now... I spent a lot of time thinking about this champion prior to me hitting the post button, I wanted to give a suggestion to you and not come off as some hot-head... lol.. And that's using Energy instead of Mana. Energy bar has 100 energy. Now, I know it's not a lot, but he'd be the FIRST caster using Energy instead of mana.

Energy Armor (Passive) Zeras' new body is perfect for housing his energy, but not for taking damage, so he must use his energy to protect himself. Zeras receives a shield based off his current amount of energy for 25 (+5 per level) + 30% (+1.667% [60% at level 18]) with a 5/10/15% damage reduction. Armor and Magic resist apply to Zeras' energy shield. If Zeras' has no energy, all damage taken is true damage.

Thank you for your comments and ideas :D I want to discuss your version of Energy Armor and how energy applies to the rest of Zeras' abilities. But first I want to clarify how your version of Energy Armor works.

I understand that Zeras would only have a max of 100 energy, which cannot be changed. Energy would presumably regenerate over time and using abilities would cost energy (but this brings up another question of how quickly does energy regenerate). What I can't figure out is how the shield would work. Is it 25 (+5 per level) per point of energy remaining? (seems incredibly high) Or is it something else? I do like the idea of zero energy = true damage taken.

I am also curious on how you think your proposed change would affect spell costs?

Thank you for the clarification! I revised the stats in this post to reflect the energy concept. ~~I also took the energy concept and applied it to Zeras' kit. The biggest changes (aside from the Energy Armor Passive) are with his Q and E abilities. I also provided more details on to how the shield recharges. ~~ New abilities have been put in the OP, below are the old abilities so people can read and provide additional feedback on both.

I want to hear everyone's thoughts on both this concept and the old one. I would like to add a poll so people can easily vote on which version they prefer, but I have no idea how to do that.

Old Stats

Health: 450 (+50) Health Regen: 4.5 (+.5) Mana: 650 (+75) Mana Regen: 8 (+1.5) Range: 400

New Stats (In OP)

Health: 550 (+75) Health Regen: 7 (+1.5) Energy: 100 Energy Regen: 1/2/3 Range: 450

Old Abilities

Energy Armor (Passive) Zeras' new body is perfect for housing his energy, but not for taking damage, so he must use his energy to protect himself. Damage taken by Zeras is instead dealt to his mana at 30% (+1.667% [60% at level 18]) reduction. Armor and Magic resist apply to Zeras' mana. Once mana is gone, damage is dealt to health at a 400% increase.

**Q: Energy Storm ** Active: Zeras causes his energy to swirl around himself in a circle, damaging enemies around him and assisting allies. Energy Storm has a radius of 400. Duration: 4 seconds. Damage per second: 10/20/30/40/50 (+75% Ability Power) to all enemies within Energy Storm. Mana Drain per second: 5/10/15/20/25 from enemies. Energy is then evenly redistributed to Zeras and any allies within the storm. Cast Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 mana. Cooldown: 12 seconds.

W: Protective Barrier Active: Zeras shares his Energy Armor with an ally. Any damage done to the ally is instead done to Zeras' Energy Armor. Max damaged absorbed: 200/350/500/650/800. Initial Cast Cost: 70/80/90/100/110. Cost to maintain: 3/5/7/9/11 mana per second. Ability wears off after 10 seconds automatically. This ability can be recast on Zeras to remove Protective Barrier early. Cooldown: 20 seconds.

E: Hardened Shield Passive: Energy Armor's damage reduction increased by 1/2/3/4/5 percent. Active: Reinforces Energy Armor for a short duration to set a maximum amount of damage per attack that can be done to Zeras. Maximum Damage per Attack: 300/250/200/150/100. 1 second duration. Cast Cost: 80/85/90/95/100. Cooldown: 25 seconds.

R: Overwhelming Power Active: Zeras unleashes his energy, empowering his attack damage, movement speed, and Energy Storm. Increases auto attack damage and movement speed by 5/10/15% per 10% of Zeras' remaining mana. Increases Energy Storm's damage by 5/10/15% per 10% of remaining mana, and duration by 2/4/6 seconds. Initial Cast Cost: 200 mana. Cost to maintain: 10% mana per second. Automatically ends when Zeras runs out of mana. Cooldown: 150/120/90 seconds.

After thinking about this concept for a day, I definitely like the idea of energy more. I do think however that the Energy Armor passive could be buffed a bit, since without the shield, all damage received is true damage which would make Zeras incredibly squishy. I'll replace my original stats and abilities with the revised ones, but put the original idea in my previous comment so others can still see it and provide more comments (if they want :) no one seems to want to provide feedback :P).

I do want to talk about a change or two to Energy Armor: ----Monsters and minions do an additional 50% reduced damage to Zeras' shield. ----Shield value increased to 30 (+15) + 33.333% (+.01852 per level (max 66.667% @ 18 => max 500 shields))

These changes would help a lot with survivability, but I would like to hear feedback on them to decide whether to add them or not.
