Skin Batches!

Ze Ocelot·Mar 17, 2015·360 votes·80,112 views

Hi all. Haven't created an art thread on the Boards since the overhaul, but now...it's time! Over the past few years, I've been creating a lot of League art, including skin ideas. Here are the newest skin sketches for the most recent champs (eventually, I'd love to return to older champs). Hope you enjoy, I'll be updating these whenever I can.

Also included really rough sketches for Bard. Any input/feedback is always welcome!

My old thread in the forum archive: http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1183706 And my deviantart if you'd like to see more: http://vegacolors.deviantart.com/

Edit: Thanks a bunch for the comments and feedback! I really appreciate it. I'll try my best to update the batch.

These are all so on point! I love the Great Sea Rek'Sai and the Toy Ruler Azir! That Sweet Tooth Bard is super cute as well, I love his tiny pumpkin face and the spooky ghost meeps. I have to say I'm a huge fan of your concepts, you really went all the way with fully realizing each one. Great work! :D

Why does a red call it rito. Ugh

They weren't always red, and plus he/she's probably not in the skin department... Anyways It's always nice to reds interacting w/ the Concept board.

RiotKindlejackMar 18, 201510 votes

Actually I'm a concept artist on the skins team! But only for a few months, while I've been a player, fan and forum user for five years.

KüramaMar 18, 20152 votes

So you're the one designing all of the cool skins I buy.

I love you.

OyddAWqJ5rMar 18, 20153 votes

Oooh cool. Gratz on the job! Must be awesome to be paid to draw concepts that'll be used in the game you've been a fan and player of for 5 years :)

Ze OcelotMar 19, 20151 votes

Ah! A fellow concept artist! (Thanks for your comments, glad you're a fan!) And congrats too, hope it's been a blast creating skin concepts. Hopefully one day I'll be able to step into the industry. For now, back to drawing!

RiotKindlejackMar 19, 20154 votes

Thanks and keep up the good work, I love it!

VecuuMar 17, 201511 votes

I only support this excellent art if you change the name of Musical Bard to Bard Bard.

k4rm4k4z3Mar 18, 201511 votes

Love that Toy Azir but for bard, could you go a lil' more https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/80/be/fe/80befe320f226515dd49cd8df5a7bb36.jpg direction?

Ze OcelotMar 19, 20152 votes

Oh man, this is tempting. When I fix up the sketch and add in colors, the look should be more noticeable.

OOO i love the Void Gnar and Great White Rek' Sai ^^ All are great ideas!

I love Archlight Kalista and Toy Ruler Azir, I'd love to see though! Toy Ruler Azir would make a great Snowdown/holiday skin.

ConturbatioMar 18, 20154 votes

Damn, is that...... Death Fire Grasp item 3108 item 1058 in Underworld Azir's concept :'( ?

NishaiMar 18, 20155 votes

Amazing skin ideas! If you're open to suggestions, I'd like to some concept art for Infernal Azir, Spectral Udyr (using multiple iconic ghosts / personas that may pertain to spirits), Elderwood Elf Gnar, Candy Cane Thresh, Spiritborne Rengar, Squeaky Clean Twitch, Toy Heimerdingus, Definitely Not Santa Claus Bard (+1 if you get the reference), Festive Nautilus

I know it's a lot of work for these, but it'd be cool if you could just pick up off of these. Anyway, my favorite is underworld azir.

Ze OcelotMar 19, 20152 votes

Thanks for the suggestions! It's so tough to settle on just two concepts for the sketches, because of how many other skin ideas I could do too. Have to have a limit though, sorry :( . (Santa Bard was sooo tempting when I was sketching ideas out, because seeing both him and Santa Gragas roam around the map team would be quite jolly...you know, a whole team of santa champs would be even better...)

KeagnMar 17, 20152 votes

I LOVE THEM ALL

Please make more! :3

The Chain WarderMar 17, 20152 votes

Wow, all of these are fantastic ideas! The only one I'm not really buying is Blue Flame Kalista. While I think it's cooler than the Classic skin, I think it bears a little too much similarity. Love 'em though, especially Guardian of the Sands Rek'Sai and Toy Ruler Azir. BUT THEY'RE ALL AWESOME! We need skins like this. I hope Riot would think about doing these, especially since many of them roll with already-established themes.

CrazedPorcupineMar 18, 20153 votes

They could release it as either a 520 or 750 skin then, it wouldn't necessarily need to be a 975/1350/1850 skin

PastramkaMar 18, 20152 votes

I honestly read ~~bitches~~...

Love them all!

DarkFaun FortesMar 18, 20152 votes

Guardian of the sands Rek, Sai, Lovely! Void Gnar, YES!!!!! Underworld Azir, PERFECTIONN!

RITO make these, I'll give u my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Devack The HolyMar 18, 20152 votes

I want Spirit Gnar, GotS Rek'Sai, and Arclight Kallista.

RIOT, MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Gray FanchonMar 18, 20152 votes

Love the Azir skins, especially how they run from serious to playful; varying it up from the champ's default theme can go a long way for a skin. :D On the opposite end of that, I'd just...I'd just buy Great Sea Rek'Sai. Seriously. That's really good. ♥

(I like the Bard skins! I feel like the musician one needs a bit more focus on it's theme though; is he classical, jazz? Why put it all into one theme, why not have multiple musically-themed skins? :D)

Good stuff!

ColbanMar 19, 20152 votes

I would pay SO MUCH for all of these.

Especially Great Sea Rek'sai. Oh my god.

PeriditionMar 20, 20152 votes

We need Trick or Treat Bard. Would buy in an instant.

Master of EvilMar 21, 20152 votes

the shark reek's is amazing but for fun they should add a laser gun on its head to become "Sharks with Lasers" just like in Austin Powers, and it would be good for her Q when underground

AngusTurtleMar 31, 20152 votes

I've seen your stuff before, you really have the most amazing skin ideas. Rito should hire you.

ZahzMay 24, 20152 votes

still say riot should just hire you

Fan Art & Concepts > Riot Art & Concepts

Prove me wrong.

You're wrong. Riot is super good too. The only thing can I say is they're equal in my opinion.
