[Champion Update] Kha'Zix Update Concept for the Assassin Update

Reading here and there, I agreed that Kha'Zix needed a little bit a love. In my opinion, he is not the 'ultimate predator' (no, not Rengar) that adapts himself accordingly to the situation he is in. And, I think he should be.

I came up with an idea to solve this a little bit, which is giving each of his basic abilities three properties he can add to it. This gives him nine properties he can add, of which he can only use three. Additionally, for every level of his ultimate, he can also evolve one of three properties of his ultimate. (Yes, this means that at level 16, Kha'Zix will have a fully evolved ult and has added three properties to his basic abilities.)

I came up with the following possible evolutions: (I know there are more than three upgrades per ability, I am just giving my idea's.) Q: Should be the main damage dealing ability of Kha'Zix and thus its evolutions focus on dealing more damage.

  • Increased isolation damage and attack range, but also increased isolation range.
  • Decreased isolation range, but also decreased isolation damage. (Combining both will give a net result of increased isolation damage and attack range, and decreased isolation range.)
  • Ignores a portion of the armor of the enemy champion. (Like Gangplank E)
  • Shreds a portion of the armor of the enemy champion by X percentage for X seconds, stacking up to X times.

W: This ability is the to-go-to ability for Kha'Zix if he seeks sustain, soft CC and utility.

  • Increased slow and marks champions hit, making them visible for X seconds. (Maybe the mark also does something else if Kha'Zix attacks that target, like slowing it.)
  • Increased heal (unlike present W-upgrade) and spikes are now fired in a cone (like present W-upgrade).
  • Additionally grants a shield of X times the healing amount. (The 2nd upgrade will increase the shield value.)
  • Increases Kha'Zix armor and magic resist by X amount for X seconds upon hitting a unit. (Maybe increased per champion hit)
  • Steals X% armor and magic resist from champion(s) hit for X seconds.
  • Marks enemy champions hit for X seconds, making them visible and causing Kha'Zix' basic attacks to slow the target by W's slow.

E: Kha'Zix' reliable gap closer, which gives him assassination capabilities.

  • Increased leap range. (Maybe with increased cooldown.)
  • Cooldown reset on kill or assist. (Can maybe be combined with the 1st.)
  • Base cooldown reduced by X seconds. (Think 4 seconds is good here.)
  • Kha'Zix is stealthed while leaping and does not break any previous stealthing. (This means that E will stealth Kha'Zix as long as Kha'Zix is in the air, and it will not break Kha'Zix out of his R-stealth upon landing. It also means that Kha'Zix is granted a stack of his passive.)

R: The ability that unlocks Kha'Zix playmaking skills.

  • Increased stealth duration. (2 seconds, most likely)
  • Kha'Zix can stealth an additional X times within 15 seconds. (1 probably)
  • X% damage reduction while stealthed. (Like the old Kha'Zix R. May or may not interact with the stealth of his E.)
  • Increases bonus movement speed while stealthed to X. (Only interacts with R, since you can't really move while jumping.)

These are just a few idea's. Kha'Zix' passive may need an overhaul as well with this, since his W also gives an on-hit slow if champions are marked.

I think this is a really cool idea, since it forces players to think about what they really need in their kit in the current game. Evolving your Q three times will give you a massive amount of damage, but also makes you very vulnerable and unable to teamfight (no leap resets). Evolving W will make you a lot more durable, but you won't do a lot of damage. The E evolutions can make you a true assassin and a horror in teamfights, but with reduced damage.

Another small idea I have about this is that the order of evolution for all abilities are fixed; you can't choose which of the three upgrades you want in what order. This can force a player to evolve an ability multiple times to get that specific upgrade he wants, instead of only evolving it once and choosing it. This also means that stronger upgrades come later than weaker ones.

or plz let him be. i dont want him to become over tuned and every retard playing him and doing well because hurr durr . let him be as he is right now he takes enough skill but he is also easy to stomp newbies.

I'm sorry, but as a rank 7 Kha main this is not a good idea.

Kha is not at all in need of love. He doesnt need nerfs, but right now he's pretty perfect. He has a good play and win rate, good skins, a good lore, and a great kit.

The final two for Q would be OP. Giving Kha a free apen or cleaver passive would stack with his already pen heavy build.

His W is balanced around high cd sustain for farming, adding combat stats like extra resistances or shields would make him have a Graves problem with combat.

Adding stealth to his leap is making him worse than Rengars ult, there would be no counterplay.

The R suggestions are all things he either has or previously had.

Giving Kha all these ult options would let him custom fit against almost all team comps.
