New Gamemode Idea (Chosen Challenge)
A Game mode that revolves around mixing up passives and abilities of champions. The player upon champ select essentially designs the champion based on the abilities pool in the game. Each player must:
- pick a character model such as teemo (with the respective predetermined auto attack range) then select a passive, q,w,e,r skill for that champion and have an all out brawl on summoners rift.
It seems like a very exciting game mode idea. certain passives can be grayed out that make the game far too unfair and this game mode tests your wits and your strength of game-play and knowledge of your league of legends experience. It makes for a wacky never seen before game mode and a surprising way to play and experiment with new kits on a nameless champion that youve always dreamed off.
-perhaps adding the build a champion to the champions tab or another respective "build a champion" tab to speed up the selective process in champ select.
-another way to build this gamemode would be like the fairly well known "ultimate bravery" site.. except instead of build order it randomely selects your skills etc. I have found many groups of people will go to ultimate bravery to spice up their enjoyment in the League of Legends game with friends for a silly and challenging way to play the game.
Part of the excitement in this mode is adapting to situations steadily and predicting how one should approach laning/ defeating the enemy team with their unique set of skills and passives.
certain things could be added at loading screen to prepare the players such as displaying the skill icons /passive icons of each player under their names. And for the skills to be tied to their sound effects that they would normally have.
This game mode teaches a player to respect and reflect on their enemies power and learn to get creative and have fun with teams of friends. Perhaps have some set rules where one passive may not be used more than once per team or maybe have it so that the entire team may use the same passive for a team oriented battle. There are so many variables to experiment with in this game mode and I feel it will keep the game fresh and joyful for all. It opens up day to day players to the hardships and testing riot employees have to undergo and think about before releasing a new champ and immersing them in the game on a greater level than before.
cons:
- some games may have certain bugs affiliated with certain skills and passives mixed together.
- games could be stomps based off not knowing how the opposing team chooses their kits. -could be tough to balance. In my opinion it should not be super ballanced because the point of the game mode is to try new things to make a kit work better than it would normally on a champion.. I believe if every champ is doing so, in all fairness thats balanced to an extent because each player has the chance to be as ("OP") or ("creative") as they wish to be. -games may be longer or shorter depending on circumstances
other ideas: -could be used as a new 1v1 gamemode for more immersive gameplay and interesting streaming experiences.
pros: -gives a new spotlight to riot. -brings back a large portion of players that are tired of the same old league and are looking for something new and exciting. -the weirdest combinations could make for some thrilling gameplay experiences -seeing at how players would design a champion or mess with a champion could give riot new unknown ideas and insights to new champion developement. I.e. (what people wish to see, what they are a fan of, what keeps someone interested in league, what playstyles people like to play, and mistakes that players can make when developing a champion, things to stay away from, perhaps new things riot has not thought of.)
p.s. Open to better titles for the name of the game. And all champions can have a ghosty/staticky overtone to let people know they are in the CHOSEN GAME-MODE. Some sort of visual effect to display extreme experimentation has undergone!
