PHYSICAL ASPECT AND CHARACTERISTICS

Ahrmio is an old person; his body is weak and frail. His whole body is almost completely hidden by a long dark rumpled cloak, full of holes and partially ripped. A hood covers his head, eyes and nose. Two big holes nearby the eyes allow him to see; also, the hood is adorned with purple arched curves. His cracked lips are the only thing visible under his hood. The right part of Ahrmio’s body is consumed by the Black Mist. His clothes are partially burned, his right eye is green and blue, the left one is green. Mostly from the right of his mouth, whenever he speaks, cerulean flames erupt like there’s a blaze inside Ahrmio’s body. Both his gaunt arms are wrapped in a consumed bandage. The left arm is usually hidden under his cloak; the right one is raised to the shoulder’s height. Almost invisible threads, strictly entangled to Ahrmio’s right arm, come out from under the cloak and run to the open palm of the hand, turned upwards. These threads, intertwined with Ahrmio’s fingers, go up to the sky. The threads fall down onto Bryn Dane, Ahrmio’s marionette. A red line cuts Bryn Dane’s body in two separate halves. The one on the right has female treats: a smaller arm, the carved eyes have longer eyelashes, a breast on the chest is hidden by a white patched dress, secured with a thick rugged nail. The left part of Bryn Dane has masculine features carved on the face and the body, then pieces of canvas secured with the same nails cover the leg.

*NOTE: feel free to come up with your own fan arts, we'll add it in! Also, since we are not artists and could not create a single sketch for this champion, we welcome you to rethink his look and design, then to share your work with the community.

ABILITIES

[Passive] Puppeteer / Control range: 6000/7000/8000 Ahrmio’s soul is linked to a puppet, named Bryn Dane. Bryn Dane is a controllable minion which can be moved freely, but it cannot move further than the control range. It shares Ahrmio’s statistics, except for its Attack Range, which is set to 165, and HP Regen. , Mana and Mana Regen. , which are all set to 0. By pressing the key [P], primary control (mouse click) and secondary control (Alt + mouse click) will be swapped among Ahrmio and Bryn Dane. If Bryn Dane dies, primary control instantly returns to Ahrmio.

[Q] Dark Candle / Cast range: 350 – Cost: 1 Dark Candle – Recharge time: 22/20/17/14/11 This spell can only be casted when the primary control is on Ahrmio.

Passive: Ahrmio stores a charge of Dark Candle periodically, up to a maximum of 3 stored at once.

Active: Ahrmio places a Dark Candle at the target location for 120 seconds. Dark Candles have 1 health and take 1 damage each time an enemy champion attacks them. If an enemy champion destroys a Dark Candle, they earn 10 gold.

Dark Candles generate Black Mist, which spreads on the surroundings area at a rate of 50 units per second, up to a maximum diameter of 650/700/750/800/850/900 units . No one can see inside the mist from the outside and vice versa. A ward placed inside the black mist works normally and reveal a portion of the area.

When a Dark Candle lifetime is over or when a Dark Candle is destroyed, the Black Mist will disappear starting from the location where the Dark Candle was placed at a rate of 50 units per second.

When Ahrmio is inside an area covered by the Black Mist, if he stands still for 2/1.8/1.6/1.4/1.2 seconds without acting or being acted upon, he gains stealth. He may move within the Black Mist without breaking stealth, but if he takes damage his stealth is broken after 0.3 seconds. Ahrmio regenerates 0.2/0.35/0.5/0.65/0.8% maximum health every half-second he spends inside an area covered by the Black Mist.

Tl;dr: Ahrmio can place candles which create a safe area where he gains stealth and regenerates faster.

[W] Marionette smash / Cast range: [Passive, control range] – Damage radius: 300 – Knockback distance: 300 This spell can only be casted when the primary control is on Ahrmio.

Bryn Dane instantly leaps into the air and becomes untargetable. It then blinks to the target location and plummets down, striking after 1.5 seconds and becoming targetable once more. Magic damage are dealt to all nearby enemies, who are also knocked back for 1 second. COOLDOWN: 18/15/12/9/6 seconds MAGIC DAMAGE: 90 / 140 / 180 / 220 / 280 (+ 80% AP) MANA COST: 45 / 55 / 65 / 75 / 85 mana

[E] Soul trade / Cast range: [Passive, control range] This spell can be casted whether the primary control is on Ahrmio or Bryn Dane.

Passive: Bryn Dane’s basic attacks are enhanced with Ahrmio’s magical power and deal 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 bonus magic damage.

Active (Toggle): Ahrmio sacrifices his strength to increase Bryn Dane’s power and agility. Level 1) Ahrmio loses 1/2 of his Armor. Bryn Dane gets 1/4 of Ahrmio’s Armor. Level 2) Ahrmio loses 1/2 of his Armor and Attack Speed. Bryn Dane gets 1/3 of Ahrmio’s Armor and Attack Speed. Level 3) Ahrmio loses 1/2 of his Armor, Attack Speed and Attack Damage. Bryn Dane gets 1/2 of Ahrmio’s Armor, Attack Speed and Attack Damage. Level 4) Ahrmio loses 1/2 of his Armor, Attack Speed, Attack Damage and Magic Resist. Bryn Dane gets 1/1.5 of Ahrmio’s Armor, Attack Speed, Attack Damage and Magic Resist. Level 5) Ahrmio loses 1/2 of his Armor, Attack Speed, Attack Damage, Magic Resist and Movement Speed. Bryn Dane gets 1/1.1 of Ahrmio’s Armor, Attack Speed, Attack Damage, Magic Resist and Movement Speed. When the spell is active Bryn Dane’s basic attacks deal + 10% / 13% / 16% / 19% / 22% of Ahrmio’s total AP COOLDOWN: 6 / 5 / 4 / 3 / 2.5 seconds MANA COST: 10 mana (activation cost) + 10/15/20/25/30 mana per second

Tl;dr: Ahrmio’s statistics decay; Bryn Dane’s statistics grow.

Active (when Bryn Dane has 0 HP): if his precious puppet is unable to fight, Ahrmio must sacrifice 20% of his current health to restore Bryn Dane to full health after a cast time of 2 seconds. COOLDOWN: 35 / 27 / 20 / 14 / 9 seconds

[R] Tangled in strings / Cast range: [Passive, control range] This spell can be casted whether the primary control is on Ahrmio or Bryn Dane.

Passive: Basic attacks from Ahrmio and Bryn Dane apply Entangled to enemy champions for 5 seconds, after which decay once every 0.5 seconds.

Active: if at least one enemy champion is Entangled and it’s inside Ahrmio’s control range, Ahrmio can use this active. Bryn Dane suddenly stops moving, but Entangled targets become Puppetized. Ahrmio can control the movements of _Puppetized_targets for a short duration. Each form of crowd control removes Ahrmio’s control over his targets. A _Puppetized_champion can still use his spells, but he will be considered by his allies as an enemy champion as long as he is Puppetized. This means that:

  • he could target and damage his allies with spells or basic attacks;
  • he becomes subject to friendly fire;
  • he cannot be targeted or damaged by any member of Ahrmio’s team.

DURATION PER STACK: (1 second for the first stack, halved for each subsequent stack) * (1.1 / 1.2 / 1.3) seconds. Example: if an enemy champion is hit 3 times and Ahrmio actives his R at level 2, he will control enemy’s movements for (1+0.5+0.25) * (1.2) = 2.1 seconds. MANA COST: 120 mana

GAMEPLAY

Born thanks to the power of the Black Mist, Ahrmio can dispose of an incredible concentration of magical power contained within a weak, old body. This is why Ahrmio must play from the very back of the backline itself; he will flood the Rift with the mist he harnesses, while sending his trustworthy puppet, Bryn Dane, to do the dirty work.

Laning The heir of the Shadow Isles does not love to team-up with someone else, or to face ugly, dirty monsters. His favorite lanes are mid lane and top lane. Once he’s in lane, he can use Dark Candle to place his candles and start spreading the Black Mist in the lane. His goal is to stay inside as long as he can while controlling Bryn Dane, which will last-hit minions in his place. With his great puppet master skill, Ahrmio can also use Bryn Dane to zone out the enemy, with Marionette Smash, or trade efficiently with Soul Trade. He should never forget, however, to ward, in order to prevent ganks from enemy junglers: AoE damage can easily break his stealth and the Black Mist won’t be as dark as a grey screen, while waiting to respawn.

Teamfights Ahrmio is definitely one of the most strategic mages who have joined the League of Legends. His power needs him to be weak, in order for his puppet to be insanely strong. It’s crucial to create different areas covered by the Black Mist, by using Dark Candle. To prepare the stage consistently, Ahrmio must have vision control of the nearby area, to check if someone is on his way to interrupt his show. When everything is set, the heir of the Ruined King can use his puppet to initiate a teamfight with Marionette Smash. Use this ability wisely, since it’s the only way Bryn Dane can come back to help its master if needed. If no one interrupts Ahrmio’s performance, he can empower Bryn Dane’s stats with Soul Trade and focus every enemy in front of him. Reach the backline with Marionette Smash or peel for your carries, but remember to help Bryn Dane throwing as much punches as it can. This way, Ahrmio will be able to cast Tangled In Strings, denying teamfight potential from the enemy team, and giving his team the chance to deal TONS OF DAMAGE to targets who are not Puppetized.

LORE ENG LORE ITA

Hi, everybody. I know this is a lot of stuff, and I thank whoever was able to come this far, until the end of this post. All of this was possible thanks the combined efforts os me and a close friends of mine. Please, let me write some final thoughts from each one of us. From AirJinKa: hi community. I hope you do enjoy our champion concept. This really took us a lot of work, and I would ask you to help us by hitting that upvote button. The main reason why I did this is because I hope to get some attention by one of Riot's game designers. I'd like to ask him what are his thoughts on our work, and if this is a champion they would like to have into the game. Actually, to read a reply from Thresh's designer would sincerely be a drea come true. Anyway, I'll ask one more time to help this post climb high with your upvotes (if you think it deserves so) in order to fulfill this leattle whish of mine. Last thing, AirJinKa is my IGN, so feel free to add me for some fun in the Rift or just to have a chat. Bye. Ayahuascax: ok...

Wow, i'll give you points for making a very unique and complex character for League.

If Ahrmio sits in the fountain, how far can Bryn Dane move? Not sure of the distance my concern about this if he is able to reach the enemy tower while sitting in base, there is no counterplay to poking his Puppet. if it dies you can heal the HP cost lost from the fountain or potions. For balance maybe need to work on those numbers.

I assume XP between them is shared.

How do summoner spells work? barrier, heal and TP etc

Are items as shared also and how would they work? potions, aura's things like that

His R requires a new mechanic of both Changing a character's team target and being able to use thier abilities. It's a nice ultimate and seems very strong, but from a design and programing perspective seems difficult to implicate.

I must say, I have always been intrigued by the idea of friendly fire mechanics in league. I'm glad to see this fascinating take on the concept. One minor thing to consider might be the fact that he relies so heavily on his dark candle for safety and yet it is so easily countered by enemies ( a ward, an auto). Really well done, would be nice to see some sort of posses ion or team swapping in the game.

Hello guys. Thanks for your appreciation and your kind words. I'm really glad you liked our idea. Actually I do agree there's always room for improvements and balance. We are not designers of any sort, just players like you who experimented something different like create a champion concept for the game. Our goal was to create a ranged mage able to shine among all the classic stereotypes. With this concept in mind we've tried to create some cool unique design of a weak mage who could control a definitely stronger minion from a very long range -> a puppetteer. About CrazyBear1987's questions, Ahrmio's range is not great enough to allow him to stay in base with his puppet sitting in the toplane. Thanks for pointing out the XP stuff, we totally forgot about that. To answer your question, I'd say it's something that would require some in-game test to set it correctly. Summoner's spells would just affect the champion, except for teleport, which would move both Ahrmio and Bryn Dane to the location where tp is casted. Same goes for item and potions. Ahrmio already has enough tools to empower his puppet, that's why I think sharing item stats would be too much :D About his ultimate, this could definitely be a new mechanic, but I won't say it would be so hard to implement. We already have charm which blocks your inputs as the summoner and moves the champion torwards Ahri. Upon activation, Ahrmio's ultimate would block any inpot from the enemy's side and would allow you to move the enemy champion as you already do with Tibbears, Shaco's clone etc.

Let me thank you again for your support. Best regards.
