it was really just a pitch at an idea. nothing solid or definite.
i do agree that values are necessary, i just didnt intend on trying to calculate all of that out.. since in the 1/900000 chance that riot would actually make this champion... my numbers would never stay regardless.
i will do some work with the kit... im not really a fan of bastet's kit... so i don't really want this to be like her.
The other idea i had for her lore-wise was that she was a bounty hunter, like sivir... and shows up at one of her heists... and stealing the job from her.. creating a forever long rivalry between the 2.
that one certainly has more appeal to it, but i wanted to see how the first went over first.
my original draft of the passive had an additional effect... but i removed it after i added the escape ability.
the passive originally read-
Passive: Lacerate,
Attacks leave behind deep wounds that leave targets vulnerable to critical hits.
If stacks reach 5, the target leaves a trail of blood for the duration, Jinari gains bonus movement speed while following the trail.
Stacks 5 times
Falls off after successful Crit
Levels up with R.
Each stack increases Crit Chance by 1%, 5%, 10%, 15%
i also had
W: Vault
Jinari pounces in a line. Bouncing over allies or enemies. If the target is an enemy, it takes physical dmg.
If the target has 5 stacks of Lacerate, the ability may be cast again.
i made those edits because i thought that it might be too much... so for balance sake... i toned them down.
Hey, glad you're actually willing to make changes :D
Even if you aren't expecting to get noticed by Rito senpai, adding in the details I mentioned above helps get your idea across better with the boards and really helps to say more about the character than "I ship Rengar with this. Fuck
(otp)". For me, I like making champion concepts because they pose a challenge and I like seeing my proposals be well received by the community. I don't look for recognition from Riot(though it would be a nice change of pace lmao), and I understand you might not feel the same way, but doing something more from the heart and mind than expectation is almost certain to obtain much more positively received results.
I think I said that wrong, but what I'm trying to say is: Don't half ass just because you aren't expecting the concept to get somewhere. The only way it DOES get anywhere is if you invest your potential in it.
Now for those changes you suggested:
Yeah the lore change doesn't sound bad at all. With some in-depth description I'm certain that could be more interesting than what's currently there.
The passive is definitely a bit better, but think of Ekko and Gnar's passives, and how they give bonus movement speed based on basic attack stacks. Also, I just noticed that each stack gives the crit values listed above, which isn't bad, but I can't help but get the feel this is gonna be another 100% crit chance champion(not a bad thing either, just not fond of them myself) U_U which makes me cri a little on the inside.
The W is also a little bit better, but combined with the new passive and ultimate, might give our gal a bit too much mobility. Also keep in mind that Gnar is also bouncing on enemies with his recently nerfed E.
One last thing: keep in mind that there are 5 values to each ability scaling(except for ultimate, which has 3, and the passive) so X/X/X/X/X when doing that. I only mention this because the E still only has four values that don't even add up to half a second...which is basically useless CC.
