The new and awesome Shen!

Shen,Shen , has always been a fun champion to play, but where in league is a tank with a skill curve? Tanks take damage, but what sort of ninja sits around and takes repeated blows to the eye? Not this one. Shen's uniqueness lies not in being a meat-shield, but in blocking/evading/stealth unpredictability. Shen may scrape by for now, but eventually he will get left in the shadows by Braums and Zacs. His ninjaness needs emphasis, and this is the sort of kit update he needs:

Q: Vorpal-blade deals *physical *damage. It now holds two charges, but has a longer cool-down unless Shen retrieves his blades. When Shen is out of charges, or sheathes them by self-casting, he is unarmed. Unarmed: vorpal-blade is replaced by a long kick. Shen has reduced damage and range, but slightly increased energy-regeneration, movement and attack speed.

W: Feint's shield is much stronger, but very short, and is 50% stronger if Shen has two charges. **Unarmed: **Shen instead executes a roll, becoming untargetable for an instant.

E: Executing vorpal-blade during, and in the direction of, a shadow-dash turns it into a skill-shot that deals extra physical damage and can block a ranged attack that it collides with. Unarmed: Shen's dash gives him extra energy for hit champions, and is completed more quickly. R: Stand-united is no longer global, but has the range of Pantheon's grand-skyfall. After a one-second channel, Shen draws both swords and teleports, reducing damage to his targeted ally for a few seconds. If stand-united is cast outside this range, Shen's movement speed is doubled in the direction of the targeted ally, and Shen has reduced energy regeneration. An interrupted channel resumes the speed buff.

With this kit, Shen has to choose his attacks more carefully, and it encourages quick thinking. Another suggestion is for limited stealth, meaning an enemy unit has to get close to see the stealthed one. Also, more lore and a Zed side-quest would be awesome.

Tell me what you think.

What's wrong with "The Eye Of Twilight"? The way I see it, Shen is one of the blight on top lane, even when he meet his counters(which is up until now there's no constant prove of whose the one) he still can hold his ground with save play. All I have to do is put the right runes and masteries; constant poke; and the right momentum for finishing combo, the only thing that made my top lane Shen failed was proper ganking by enemy's jungler or overconfidence/underestimate. You said Shen need something new? Yeah, he needs an immediate rework on ingame animation, such as the way he walks; the looks of his costume; and his passive cannot be block; blinded; or dodge while the mark from his vorpal blade is active. IMO, Shen is better that way without any OP accused in the future.

It is true that Shen manages in lane for now; I also main him. But the point is to provide more interesting gameplay and to emphasize what makes Shen special. As new champions come out, they will eventually overshadow anything that the current Shen has to offer, and he will need to be reworked, as with all the old champions. Updated champions get tweaked regardless of if they are "OP," or not. This is how they are perfected. Also, most of the skill champions are mages. What I suggested would provide a fun challenge for a different role.
