[Champion Concept] Kura'Zel, The Throat of the Abyss

Abilities:
Fighting style: Melee Resource: Mana
P: CAPACITANCE
- Kura’Zel has no natural mana regeneration and gains no mana regeneration from items. (Void Maw, Fountain, and Buffs can still regenerate mana)
- Killing minions, monster, and champions increases her maximum mana by 2, 5, and 20 respectively.
Visual: The energy sphere on her back changes in size and appearance depending on her "Current mana" and "Condensed Mana" stacks.

Launches a thin crystal spike which strikes the first enemy hit granting vision for a short while and permanently marking them with one stack of “Glass Barbs”. Landing other abilities when two stacks of off “Glass Barbs” are on a champion consumes marks and modifies the ability. Stacks of “Glass Barbs” cannot be removed except by triggering the effect, Death, or cleanse-like abilities.

Glass Barb Modifier: Explodes in a backwards cone, dealing bonus damage and applying 1 stack of “Glass Barbs” to enemies behind the target.
**Visual: **Turns slightly to the side and flicks her tail, launching a sharp crystalline spike.
W: VOID MAW
- Cost: 0
- Cooldown: long (20-25 seconds)
- Damage: true damage per second

Kura’Zel opens her maw draining the mana of enemies in a cone in front of her at a rate of 5% per second for 3 seconds. She is lightly slowed for the duration and cannot perform basic attacks, can be recast to cancel. Projectile spells and visible traps that enter the area are also absorbed. While the mana bar is full, 100% of the mana absorbed is stored as "Condensed Mana" stacks. Upon death she looses 50% of her "Condensed Mana" stacks.

**Glass Barb Modifier: **Upon activation draws the afflicted enemies towards your location.
Visual: Kura’Zel snaps her jaws open and the area in front of her dulls in color. A vacuum like effect ensues and light is siphoned from her enemies and funneled into her awaiting maw.

- Damage: % (total mana + Condensed Mana)

Kura’Zel Leaps towards the cursers location. Upon landing she deals a % of her total mana as magic damage in an AoE around her.

**Glass Barb Modifier: ** Grants a shield equal to a % ( total mana + Condensed Mana ).
**Visual: **Leaps with hind claws outstretched. Upon landing the energy orb on her back destabilizes briefly, causing a shockwave.
R: THAUMIC BLAST
- Cost: 0 -> 100%
- Cooldown: very long
- Damage: (% of mana consumed) + (% Condensed mana)
1st Cast:
- Kura’Zel becomes rooted and begins channeling, consuming 20% of her total mana per second. If her Allies are in range and click on her during the channel they will also donate 10, 20, 30% of their maximum mana.
2nd Cast:

R can be reactivated at any time to cast Thaumic blast which fires a high speed global projectile. Upon impact with a champion or epic monster the blast detonates dealing magic damage to the target hit. Enemies behind the initial target take 60% reduced damage. Both the Charging and launching of “Thaumic Blast” can be heard globally.

**Glass Barb Modifier: **Grants Vision of targets with 2 "Glass Barb Stacks" for the duration of the channel.
**Visual: **Kura’Zel acquires a quadruped stance and digs her claws firmly into the ground. Her tail whips once in irritation before parting her jaws. The ball of energy on her back begins collapsing in on itself in shorts bursts as a glowing projectile forms between her jaws.
Description
Kura’Zel is a slim velociraptor-like void born. White bone covers part of the body and acts as a protective shell while the places not covered by bone sport a resemblance violet muscle tissue. Her long arms, which are perfect for latching onto prey, are normally kept tucked close to her body while her hind legs are built for pursuit. A long whip like tail sports 4 glass-like spines at the end. The spines normally rest flat against the tail, but flare out when threatened. The bone plating and body structure makes her look gaunt and constantly hungry. The most notable feature is a set of 4 large crystals which sprout from her back. Between the crystals rests glowing a ball of condensed energy.
Lore (Short Stroy)
"Scraps, feed, fight… sisters take all… we so hungry… mothers always hungry…" A glimmer catches the creature’s eye, tugging at its instincts and drawing it further into the mist The creature stops, its spines tingling. The mist is silent. A flash of violet light engulfs the creature and it falls through nothingness, finally tumbling onto hard dirt and stone "Ow…" Dazed it scrambles up shaking its head and blinking at the light "Something… different…" Everything was wrong. Gone was the slight tingling in her spines and the darkness of her home, in its place a strong almost painful pressure It looked around and locked eyes with another creature, a stag, both froze Her tail rose slightly and with a flick the stag fell to the ground screeching in agony. Another flick silenced it. The thing stepped towards the deer and sniffed it cautiously "…Easy?" In that moment it finally understood and the creature spun around sniffing the air and chittering excitedly. "_ I feel it... so much!! SO much EAT!! " " Sisters come!!! Sisters?!? Where? _" It called out a couple more times with screeches and clicks. Mother was silent "Sisters… we... alone" It stood motionless, unsure of what to do until a rogue thought crossed its mind. "_Alone… no more we, only us… only me! " " Me me me! _" Her tail began to whip excitedly "I take mine! mine mine for me!!! Hee hee hee!" The things jaw snapped open and the surroundings dulled as thin wisps of light were wrenched from the animal’s body. An eerie silence penetrated the forest, the only sound being the clack of bone as the creature shut its mouth. It hopped gleefully away chittering “me me me me me”, Leaving behind a desiccated corpse, the stags skin pulled taut over its bony framework. Three violet eyes observed silently from the shadows before sinking into the mist.
Lore (General)
The Zel are small, quick void born that work in groups to take down larger prey. While small, they have the dangerous ability to rip the life force out of their prey’s bodies, leaving behind nothing but withered husks. They gorge themselves, and return to the nest with the spoils. What drives their appetite for magic is unknown, but something unspeakable constantly spurs them to collect more.
Separated from the pack a single Zel was drawn though a portal and found itself in a world brimming with energy. With magic of Runeterra fueling her growth she changed. With every molt she grew, becoming more dangerous and increasingly intelligent. Soon forest creatures weren’t enough to sate its appetite and it began preying on villages attacking swiftly and retreating before being caught. Upon learning of the creature Noxus sent a battalion of warriors to capture it. In the night sensing a meal far tastier than before the creature struck, downing two mages and reducing them to withered husks before the Noxian troops even realized what was happening. A fierce battle ensued but eventually numbers won out and the Noxian army cornered it. Realizing its potential general Swain offered it a deal, plentiful food on the fields of justice in return for a beast that even the strongest mages would fear.
With every visit to the fields of justice Kura’Zel siphons more and more energy. Many suspect that she stores it somewhere; however nobody has yet to find her hoard. Those that seek it often fail to return and so she always returns hungry for more.

Interesting Facts
- Similarly to Cho’Gath and Zac, Kura’Zel ‘s energy sphere grows in size depending on her Current mana and Condensed Mana Stacks
- Upon reaching certain mana thresholds, the energy ball changes appearance, becoming more violent such as : 1000 ripples, 2000 sparks, 3000 arcs or energy, 4000 solar flares… etc
- Kura’Zel can consume Another Kura’Zel’s Thaumic Blast
- Kura’Zel Sports a false mouth which makes her look inoffensive, until “void maw” is used and the full extent of her jaw is revealed.
- The 4 crystals located on her back act as energy regulators. They allow her to carry around more mana than the body could naturally withstand.
