Ryze ult should do dmg!

So I was playing a game of Aram, not as Ryze but with one on my team...I thought of something genius, I know Ryze can be very powerful on his own, but wouldn't a boost in his Ultimate ability be really cool as well, I'm talking about damage being added to his Ult. There could be a base damage very small, but the trick to making it a larger and more powerful Ultimate and to make it fit into his character scheme and functionality I was thinking that for every champion that Ryze has traveling with him inside his Ult will give him a percentage damage boost as well, 5 being the maximum of course.
