Yorick Rework

Having recently started playing Yorick I find I like his current build. However, I find him to be too powerful in lane as he is. His build/leveling path is also too static. Yorick games I have had tend to go along the lines of 'Rush a manamune, max Yorick's E first, and after that it doesn't really matter.' So, I brainstormed a bit and came up with a rework for a champ I have come to enjoy.

Passive: Unholy Covenant: Yorick's ghouls still have 35% of his health and attack damage, but instead of gaining extra damage and resistance each ghoul bestows a unique bonus to Yorick. I tried to keep each passive bonus in line with both the ghoul's theme and Yorick's role as a mage-bruiser. Omen of War: Yorick gains 15% bonus attack speed for 5 seconds Omen of Pestilence: Yorick deals 30 magic damage each second in a small area around him for five seconds. Omen of Famine: Yorick gains 20% lifesteal and 20% bonus move speed while moving toward an enemy champion for 5 seconds. Omen of Death: Yorick receives 10% reduced damage for 10 seconds.

Q - Omen of War: Yorick deals 10/15/20/25/30 (+110% AD) physical damage on his next basic attack. Mana Cost: 40 Cooldown: 7/6/5/4/3 seconds

W - Omen of Pestilence: A ghoul is summoned dealing 60/85/105/135/160 (+100% AP) magic damage in a small area and slowing enemy units by 15%/20%/25%/30%/35% for 1 second. Enemies in the presence of the ghoul continue to be slowed by half as much. Mana Cost: 55/90/105/120/135 Cooldown: 12 seconds

E - Omen of Famine: Deals 55/70/85/100/115 (+75% Bonus AD) physical damage. Mana Cost: 55/60/65/70/75 Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds

R - Omen of Death: This I feel is in a good place and does not need to be changed.

Notes: The general problem I found was that Yorick's Omen of Famine does too much for one ability. It is both a farming tool, a ranged poke, and a beefy source of sustain when in lane. Thus, I have reduced the damage and removed the sustain from the ability itself. However, I do like the idea of Yorick being a sustain champ, so I have moved the sustain to the passive bonus in the form of lifesteal.

As for the general theme I wanted to create a set up where Yorick would realistically have a good use for all of his abilities. How I envision this kit being used is to first use Omen of Famine to gain a speed boost and close in. Then Yorick would use Omen of War to deal a last burst of damage. Afterward, he would use his boosted attack speed to deal a bit more damage and then disengage using Omen of Pestilence, dealing a bit more damage on the way out with the passive AoE damage. Then Yorick would use the Omen of Famine later to gain some lifesteal and regen his health for the next engage.

I hope that this will, at the very least, encourage Riot to work toward reworking a strong champion that has needed a rework for some time. I also hope that these changes will allow Yorick to retain his mage-bruiser qualities while bringing his ability to simultaneously poke his opponent out of lane and heal from a safe distance.
