Blood Drive Vladimir Skin

I am a blood drive coordinator for the American Red Cross. We are interested in working with Riot Games to create an online blood drive in which in-game rewards such as RP and an exclusive blood donation themed skin for Vladimir would be given to players who donate blood or refer others for blood donation. What would you guys think about a blood donation themed Vlad? Do you have any ideas on what he might look like?

We are also trying to figure out how much of the LoL playerbase is eligible for blood donation, and what kind of rewards they would like for doing so. With the size of this game's playerbase, this is something which has the potential to save a lot of lives. My wife has been volunteering for the Red Cross and educated me about this event from back in 2011 that is the origin of Nurse Akali:

Coincidentally just this morning I suggested the idea of doing something like this again because I personally agree that donating blood is a vital cause. Something with Vlad would be most appropriate >:)

I had heard about this event before, but this forum post you linked is very useful. I did not know this is where Nurse Akali came from. With the number of players League has now, I fully expect the amount of blood we collect from this drive to be record breaking.

I have a personal, asshat philosophy: do not donate blood unless I'm getting something for it. After all, I might save a life... But it's -my- blood, I live on the stuff. However, something like this would get me to donate at least once be it for the RP, the skin, the champ... What have you. It would probably work for other Summoners with similar philosophies, since I'm getting something of meaning for my donation rather than just a T-shirt.

from a biological standpoint you make blood pretty fast and you poop quite a bit of it out.

donating a pint now and then really won't affect you and it's better than wasting it hahaha

Yes, but from a -personal- standpoint, it's -my- blood. It shouldn't leave my body from any means other than natural. Not to mention the pain and suffering of having to donate... I don't hate on the Red Cross or any other blood donor groups, but a lot of their people are under-trained for finding veins. I've been stuck multiple times by nurses in -hospitals- for blood samples the few times I've let them have 'em.

Sadly, I cannot donate blood. I would definitely refer people if I could get rewards for doing so (especially a Vlad skin).

That is just as important. There are actually a lot of people who plan on referring 2 - 5 people.

I'd definitely tell all of the people I know who can to donate blood just for a Vlad skin. Like, he's just so awesome! But, if Riot does plan on making a Red Cross skin for Vlad, I hope it retains his malicious and sadistic air.

I like the idea a lot. I believe that this skin has been brought up by players in the past as one they would like to have(although not related to an actual blood drive) so doing something like this should be pretty well received.

If this idea has been brought up before, I would love to see the concepts and ideas that came out of it.

Love the idea! I think it would encourage a lot of people to donate! Luckily I don't play Vlad all that much, as I have Hemophobia and would definitely want that skin, lol!

We could work with the Canadian Red Cross at a later time, but initially it will just be the American Red Cross.

Riot Dr Vladimir , , Dr White Coat , vlad in a suit but instead of the suit coat , use a doctor white coat , and a instead of the hospital name , you put a riot logo , an a stethoscope around his neck like real doctors , <3 i would donate blood if this came to be possible , also no long hair , short hair for vlad , drs always have to look good , xD Vladimir
