Wouldn't it be cool to have some sort of Zed and Shen special event, like the Bilge water one?
First I wanna say that I did not my self think of this Idea but I did change it a little bit
The power and skill that Zed gained through his ordeal eventually seduces Shen's disciples away from the path of balance, resulting in...
Shadowblade/Shadow Disciple Akali and Kennen
Instead of their traditional (and in Akali's case, skimpy) ninja garb, both of these champions are now covered from head to toe, including donning new metal masks and black-and-red clothes. Instead of the sharp, crisp visual and sound effects of blades and lightning, the champions' particles and effects instead consist of softer, billowing shadows.
Akali
Passive - Akali's hands are now wreathed in smoke, ranging from a small tendril (think a blown out candle) to a dark cloud (akin to Zed's shadow), depending on how much AD or AP she has, respectively.
Q - Akali throws her blade, leaving a trail of black smoke behind it and engulfing the target in shadow that slowly dissipates as the timer wears out.
W - Akali's stealth field, rather than consisting of pulsing glitter, would be swirls and tendrils of black-grey smoke, again starting darker and slowly dissipating as the effect ages.
E - Akali's learned from her new master - her E is now Akali's model performing Zed's Shadow Slash.
R - Akali's ultimate now makes her dash leaving behind her a smoke trail that makes a little explosion of smoke after she lands the ultimate, which would be faded out or in depending on the range that the ultimate is going, respectively.
Kennen
Passive - Kennen's abilities now apply Marks of Shadow, which are distinct small clouds of smokey shadow that leave tendrils behind them. The sound of applying a Mark of Shadow is similar to that of the 'pfffff' sound heard when gently forcing your lips apart by exhaling while your mouth is closed, also every time you stun a target a human-like shadow would very quickily drop on you from above.
Q - Kennen's shurikens now leave a smoke trail behind them (think Bloodmoon Kennen, but instead of red lightining it's black and shadowey smoke) and have an almost breathy sound effect (make an O with your mouth and then act like you're blowing out a candle) if the person is hit by it.
W - Kennen's shuriken emits smokey shadow when its passive effect is prepared. Upon activation, a dark tendril of shadow tethers to the target/s also making a sound like breathing litely through your nostrils.
E - Kennen transforms in to the shadows leaving behind his every step a foggy shadow that dissipates as fast as a snap of fingers, however while this effect is active the lightning sound would be replaced with kind of a lite "sh" sound (something like making the mouth do the 'sh' sound but instead of your upper and downer teeth being clumped together you open them as wide as you can and quietly realease the sound out of your mouth).
R - Kennen's outer ring of the ultimate instead of being lightning it would be some sort of soft shadowy ring with black, but also something like a circling white on it, and inside of the ring it would be a little foggier.
Through these skins, Riot's 'lore department' (I kid, I kid <3) could flesh out what happened to Zed when he confronted Shen's father, what he saw that drove him to his dark madness, and what, if anything, will come of his rivalry with Shen. Personally I think that this could even merit an in-game event on a scale with the Bilgewater event. If done well, the lore options here are basically limitless and are more interesting and emotionally engrossing than the Bilgewater event was. Similar to the Butcher's Bridge ARAM map, we could have a Summoner's Rift map skin with opposing temples instead of each team having a nexus, with ninja minions pouring out to fight in lane.
Some possible avenues to explore for a ninja event:
Does Zed show Akali and Kennen what he found in Shen's father's temple?
Do we learn what it was (please!)?
Do they permanently join him, or do they see the error of their ways by the end of the event?
Does Zed use his new disciples to confront Shen?
Do they fight?
Who wins?
What happens?
If Zed, wins, what happens to Shen?
If Shen wins, does Zed lose his mask and gain a new scar?
Most importantly, where does Syndra fit into all of this?
