Why do new champions get priority on skins while older champions don't

So, with new skin releases including pool party zoe, ssg xayah, ssg rakan, and ssg Taliyah. Only one of those champions really needed another skin, Taliyah. Seriously why do zoe, rakan, and xayah have more skins than aurelion, kled, illaoi, Taliyah, Camille, and more while the latter champions have been out longer. If your argument is that it is easier to make skins for those champions that might be true for some but I can come up with skins off of the top of my head and that's not even my job. For example: pool party aurelion with him being an eel and having his stars be like pirahnas, winged hussar kled, weight lifter illaoi when the Olympics come around, gymnast Camille , with her e and ult being like balance beams. If you say the reasons why these champs aren't getting skins is because their player count is smaller could be right but have you ever considered that these champs aren't getting played because they don't have any skins? I think this way because if I get a skin in a hextech chest of a champion I don't have I might consider playing the champ and see if I like them or not.

Thanks for listening!

A: this is the wrong place for this B: the champs for the SSG skins were decided by SSG, not Riot

Zoe only had one skin, and afaik the team skins are decided by the team, not Riot. What would be the point of making a skin for a certain team and then picking characters they dont play?

Illaoi just got a new skin.

The pool party set also is for Gangplank and Caitlyn, two champions who have been in the game almost as long as I have or longer (came in right before Caitlyn was added) and are certainly older than any other champion you listed, so your point is kind or sporadic at best.

I agree with the points you made but the ssg skins were decided by the ssg players so they weren't riots call. Yeah Riot should probably do a better job of spreading skins out I mean Xayah and Rakan got a skin before Illaoi and now Zoe got a skin before Aurelion sol It's a little ridiculous. I liked what Riot did with the Illaoi skin where they got the community to vote on what skin she was going to get and I would honestly like to see more projects like that because it was interesting and showed us the skin development process along the way. To get back on track Aurelion sol is a festering wound at this point while Urgot is just a limb waiting to be amputated the poor guy hasn't gotten a skin since 2012 I mean yeah Riot has announced an Urgot skin but we have no idea what it looks like it's unfortunate to say the least but the argument he isn't a meta pick or hes not interesting enough to get a skin is weak and not well though out because Urgot still has a place in the meta as a pretty good top lane champ who does decent in most matchups and Urgot's lore is pretty interesting too being one of the darker champions on the rift who tortured his torturer and was sent on a death mission by Swain. There are a load of champions on the Rift who deserve skins more than one of the newest champions on the rift but hey "small indie company".

Skins for the most popular champs = More $$$$

New champions have high play rates. High play rates means higher skin sales. Higher skin sales means more money.
