Champion Concept: Captain Kidd, The Undead Pirate

Sure in season 6 we got IllaoiIllaoi, but it's time for a rival for GangplankGangplank ! This is where Captain Kidd(doesn't have to be the name) comes in. A fearsome pirate who used to rule the seas, but died to Gangplank a while ago. A ship wreckage. Some how the ship landed on the Shadow Isles, where the dead spirit of Captain Kidd found his dead body. Possessing the body he goes back to Bilgewater to take back what was his from Gangplank. Personally, I think this is an awesome idea because Bigewater hasn't been hyped up in a while! There can even be a versus between Gangplank and Captain Kidd, where people complete missions to see who rules the seas. Captain Kidd is an interesting champion. At the beginning of the game you get to choose whether you use a cutlass or a flintlock. It would take 50 Silver Serpents in order to change the weapons. He'd get silver serpent just like Gangplank. The weapon only changes the Q and Auto Attacks, which I'll go on about it later. I also don't know where he lie within the tanks, bruisers or assassin(tell me what you think). Passive: Undying Pirate- When Kidd dies he gets 3 seconds to live again(something like SionSion passive), but if he kills anyone he comes back to life for 10% of his maximum health. It seems op right? Well, he keeps the normal stats of him(including items, however item passives won't work, via life steal) and again he gets three seconds, so if he got melted by the enemy team no way he'll come back, but if it was a close one v one then it would work. Also to make it even less op every second he loses 10% of his maximum health, giving him 10 seconds to live again, or less because you can hit him again. To make it some what more op, Kidd can still use his abilities. Cutlass Q: Deceiving Strike- Kidd will strike hard at an opponent dealing (for reference, doesn't have to be exactly that) 30/55/80/105/130 attack damage, and he'll get 10% life steal for that attack. When in his passive, He will get the 10% life steal from this ability, not from items though. Flintlock Q: Two Shots- Kidd will pull out a second flintlock and fire two shots at the opponent dealing (again for reference) 30/55/80/105/130 attack damage, it will also leave the foe bleeding and slowed for 3 seconds. The bleed and slow will still happen when Kidd's in his passive. W: Argh! Mateys!- Kidd can summon a few of his crew mates. These crew mates won't grow any stronger by leveling up the W, but it does decrease the cool down of it. He will be able to have three charges of these. They automatically target the enemy champions, if there aren't then they attack the nearest minion or jungle monster. They can randomly be a cutlass or a flintlock wielder(50% chance for either one). Also they do as much as a siege cannon minion and has the same amount of health as one. Simply it's three siege canon minions. E: Rum!- With this Kidd will drink a bottle of rum that will give him 100% more health regen for 3 seconds. He could also give it to his team mate. R: Set Sail!- Just like KledKled ult in a way. Kidd will summon his ghost ship and it will go to anywhere on the map, in a straight line, phasing through the walls even. Kidd has the choice to ride it, by pressing R again, but can not leave until it reaches it's destination. It would do for reference 175/350/525 attack damage and knock back all enemy champions and if they hit a wall they're stunned for 2 seconds. Another thing is that his teammates could come n the ship by pressing it (like Thresh lantern), but again can not leave until the ship finds it's destination.(I could see a whole bunch of drake steals/baron steals/herald steals. Dialogue Concepts- When getting picked- "They will see TRUE STRENGTH!" When getting banned- "I never liked alliances anyway." When choosing the Cutlass- "Stabby stabby I go." When choosing the flintlock- "I wished I brought my cannon." Movement- "Argh!" "Bilgewater has a new king." Attacking- "Bam!" "Slash!" "I hurt you now!" When he kills someone- "How I missed the smell of gunpowder." "My cutlass is dull, I sharpened it today too." Joke- Kidd pulls a bottle of rum out. "Ah, a drink at last." Throws it in the air and fails to catch it. "Darn it all!" Kidd pulls a bottle of rum out. "Want some?" Throws it in the air and fails to catch it. "No you can't have any." Taunt- Kidd sets down a flag. "This ain't nothing compared to the Seas." "I'm can not die you know." A special interaction to Gangplank- "They should've let you die!" (referring to the time when gangplank when his was "dead") A special interaction to Illaoi- "I've fed my family to a Kraken before, can I join?" A special interaction to Miss FortuneMissFortune - "Let me kill Gangplank first. Then you can shot him, I guess." A special interaction to FizzFizz - "I think I ate your people. They were tasty." A special interaction to any Shadow Isles champion- "Without that island I'd still be dead." I hoped you enjoyed reading this. I have no concept art for him, but if you do feel free to do so. Like I said we need more Bilgewater champs and I think Captain Kidd is the perfect fit. Hopefully this becomes a champion too. Okay, so I understand you want a rival for GP (which is Miss Fortune) but I read through some of it and I kinda stopped at the whole "sion passive" thing... you're basically giving him a free guardian angel and if he's able to kill after he's been killed, he's brought back to life. Sorry but this is incredibly broken. It would be far too easy to live in a teamfight or 1v1. Nearly everything you just mentioned would be much too powerful for a fighter (I assume he's a fighter). GP already is the king and is still the king of Bilgewater. I'm gonna make a guess and say that you're a bit young and don't understand the capabilities of this champion concept.

A lot of aspects of this champion are kind of neat. I like the idea of buying your weapon at the start of the game, which is pretty neat. I also think the ship Ult is very cool. The W is also a really neat idea.

However my main issues with this is one, it's borthering way to heavily from other champions and the second point is it has too much Gangplank in it. There is small differences other than basic function in how Q and E function along with The Ult and Passive being way to similar to other champions. There is for sure some cool stuff you can do with a undead pirate, I just feel like this is not taking it far enough.

I dont see a reason to go cutlass when you could just go flintlock and be a ranged top laner vs being a melee one

I know you're probably a young player and new to the forums But try to read that :

PS : You don't "MAKE HIM BALANCED" , you just make him It's more important to have coherent and clear concepts (zombie pirate) Than have a bad concept "balanced"

Change flintlock Q to a skillshot that stops on the 1st enemy champion hit and it also does reduced damage to minions. Flintlock Q's base damage at rank 1 needs to be upped unless it has a total ad ratio with it. Cutlass Q needs to do more damage, and potentially reset his auto attack. To make this more viable, if you kill a target with Q its cooldown gets halved and mana cost gets refunded.

I feel like your W is pretty similar to Malzahar voidlings except they seem pretty busted for pushing waves. If you suddenly used all 3 w charges and got basically 3 cannon minions per charge, thatd be 9 cannon minions pushing the wave. "pet" champions tend to be hard to balance too, as either their AI will be stupid and only hit minions if they have no form of redirection.

If they hit only champions, they'd be oppressive af since thats 9 cannon minions running at you and being ridiculously hard to kill.

Come late game minion damage tends to be negligible unless its a super minion. Nerf his w early on so it can be less oppressive and buff his late game w so it actually has an impact.

His e seems to be pretty useless in the sense that either its spammable and is busted, or isn't spammable, has a high mana cost, and becomes useless. I would change this ability.

What are some cooldowns/ damage scalings you are thinking of?

What kind of champion are you thinking players will play him?
