(champion concept) Nayuta, the Shadow of the Wind
Hey. Since so many of the recent champion and reworks have been "heels", I thought I'd suggest one, this little lore hole-filler. And since a lot of the female player base has been asking for more sexy male champions, he'll be real smexy. And since League has been around for so long, This champion will have a modern moveset suited to the climate of 2017.
So first, his name and looks. His name is Nayuta. He's a tall man, lean and muscular, with a well-defined chest and abs; he has very dark brown skin, and strong and angular facial features. His hair is wild and curly- not quite afro curly, but close. He has broad shoulders. He wears a charcoal grey V-shaped vest(looks like a V front and back) over white cloth stomach wraps that tucks into his loose charcoal grey pants, which are held up with a blood-red sash. His pants are tucked into his boots, which are tabi- a black cloth with light brown leather soles; the laces are red. Over this he wears a simple floor-length charcoal grey hooded jacket on his shoulders(he shrugs it off and the beginning of a match). Nauta wield a two-handed sword that has a handle like a Chinese dao, and a blade like a falchion; the blade has a fuller and hamon, and the handle is bound with dark leather. The pommel is bronze, and from it hangs a golden bead with a red tassle.
HIS STORY: Nayuta grew up in Ionia, the ward of a temple. From his youth, he was interested in the sword techniques of the temple's master, who also ran a sword school in one wing of the temple- he began his studies, and found his restless energy had a perfect outlet. He soon became one of the top disciples, in spite of his youth. When Nayuta became a young man, he was one of two pupils the temple head began to train in his legendary wind techniques- the other was a young man named Yasuo.
Nayuto soon began to dislike the attention his sword talents placed on him. He had become very spiritual, and focused on his meditations when not practicing. As such, the temple head permitted him to train alone. In the quiet by a waterfall, Nayuta unexpectedly unlocked the secret of the wind sword, slicing the waterfall in half with a swing. But, as he returned from solitude, he found Yasuo had also discovered the technique.
Nauyta was fine with this at first, as it drew even more attention from him. But, as fate would have it, one day he overheard a rumor that the temple head was considering making Yasuo his successor- and this planted a seed of resentment deep within him. Nayuta threw himself into his training even more, becoming swift as the wind and quiet as a whisper, but as the temple head aged, he began to dislike Nayuta's long stretches of solitude. He was one day tasked with taking a young initiate out to gather herbs- and that was when they were ambushed by noxian scouts.
Though his companion was quickly felled, Nayuta managed to strike down several of the squad, until he was surrounded, disarmed, and pinned down. Much to his surprise, he was told that Noxus valued strength such as his, and that they would let him live if he became their inside ear to the temple. Nayuta agreed, and returned to the temple with very mixed feelings.
As time went on, Nayuta's unease faded. The noxians asked nothing evil of him, only questioning him about the temple's design and water systems. Until, one day, he was told of an imminent attack, and given a chnace to prove his loyalty to Noxus: assassinate the temple head and live, or die with the others.
The turmoil of the choice plagued Nayuta for several nights. He considered the wisdom of his master, and also of Yasuo's favor with him. In the end, he began to see his master's death as a mercy compared to what awaited the temple, and his resolve faded completely. Nayuta saw the signal, and headed to the training courtyard. He feared Yasuo to be there with his master, but the old man was alone, meditating. Asking forgiveness, Nayuta drew his sword, and the two dueled.
It was over swiftly. Though still supremely skilled, the temple head's reflexes and strength were no match for Nayuta's, who executed his master with the first wind sword technique he had been taught. Fleeing to the rendezvous point, Nayuta escaped the horror that befell the rest of the temple, and left with the noxians.
He soon became one of Noxus' most sought after assassins, taking out many high-value ionian targets while the invasion was ongoing. When the combat ceased, he once again became a recluse, pondering the mysteries of balance and suffering. Though still employed by Noxus, Nayuta's secrecy has faded him into legend, many believing his work to have been done by others- and that is just now Nayuta wants it, for the closer he comes to a myth, the more deadly the reality of his blade becomes.
IN-GAME/PEDIA BIO: Raised in an Ionian temple and sword school, from his youth Nayuta chose the path of the blade, his skill growing to the point where his master entrusted him and another student with his legendary wind techniques. Seeking seclusion to grow in skill, Nayuta's talents blossomed.
As he was tasked with gathering herbs one day, he and his companion were attacked by a Noxian advanced scouting party. Given a choice between treachery and death, Nayuta gave in and chose to betray his temple, and weeks later he was given another hard choice: kill his master and escape with Noxus, or die with his temple. With a wind technique, Nayuta executed his master and ties to Ionia.
Quickly becoming a legend during the Ionian invasion, after it ceased, Nayuta's deeds became attributed to other assassins of Noxian blood. Now more myth than man, Nayuta still plies his trade, seeking balance and wisdom.
