Ideas for Rengar Rework (Assassin update)
Rengar Rework:
My intentions for writing this is to throw my ideas out there and see what y'alls thoughts are. I tried to be realistic and I believe I got what I was aiming for, if any of you have questions please ask them as I might need to clarify some things, Thanks! I drew some of the ideas while planning from Kindred, eve, and Kha'zix. I wanted to go for an Assassin Rengar but at the same time I wanted fair play by allowing positioning mistakes to be punished, I also wanted to make his ultimate a little more team fight friendly by allowing him to reset his stealth so Rengar could re position and attack his next target. Of course with this new addition I had to remove his leap from his ultimate, but his bush jumping still exits. :P by giving Rengar more psychological warfare to play with it allows him and his opponents to play differently according to his aggression. Another huge thing I was aiming for was the "Savage" aspect of Rengar, a fierce hunter who rips apart his hunted targets, and by giving him extra boosts to his abilities around his "hunted" target allows this to happen. but of course with great power comes great responsibility, Rengar only gains ferocity passively when near jungle camps or marked champions. However whenever Rengar gets closer to the target the ferocity gained per second increases as well.
passive: Unseen Predator:
Passive effect: (hunter's mark) Rengar can choose to mark a champion to be hunted (like Kindred)
cool down( 15 seconds, the cool down is reset if the marked target is killed allowing you to mark your next kill immediately)
whenever he is near the marked target Rengar will gain Ferocity.
Whenever Rengar is near Jungle camps he also gains Ferocity;
= leap stays the same.
Passive effect: (Ferocity)
+ Rengar becomes ferocious around "hunted" targets allowing him to gain ferocity while in range of his target (something like 700 units one ferocity per sec)
Rengar's ferocity gained per second increases depending on how close he is to the Marked target (If Rengar is 300 units away from the target he begins to rapidly gain Ferocity (two ferocity per second).
- Basic abilities no longer produce Ferocity.
( ALL THE BASIC ABILITIES KEEP THEIR ORIGINAL FUNCTIONS, WITH ADDED BENEFITS ONLY ON EMPOWERED ABILITIES, *except the regular Bola Strike) Q- Savagery = normal q remains the same. Q- Empowered Savagery = stays the same, (New)+ Rengar applies grievous wounds to his target, reducing healing effects and also slowing the target by a %.
W- Battle roar
= remains the same
W- Empowered Battle Roar
+ (New)Empowers Rengar to stay in the fight longer granting him a small period of increased damage on his basic attacks.
E- Bola Strike
= remains the same, + If Rengar lands the bola on a Marked Target Rengar gains bonus movement speed regardless if he is running or chasing.
E- Empowered Bola Strike
= Damage and root duration remains the same, +(New) Rengar's bola gains massively increased range, if the bola lands Rengar begins to Sprint full on towards his target (Greatly increasing his movement speed).
R- Thrill of the Hunt
= reveals his targets within a radius(stays the same),
- Rengar can no longer leap. ( he can only pounce if he were to be in a brush )
+ PASSIVE: Rengar only becomes stealthed when he leaves all enemy vision (this includes wards)
- No longer gains movement speed.
+ Rengar is gradually revealed to the enemy at 700 range. at 500 units Rengar is SEEN and cant restealth until he leaves vision again.
+ Whenever Rengar exits stealth his next Savagery attack will severely wound the target causing it to be stunned for 1 second.
+ If Rengar manages to kill or gain an assist on the kill, Rengar can reactivate his stealth despite being seen. If rengar remains in detection range (500 Units) he is revealed once again
- Rengar loses stealth if he becomes detected for too long (30 second c/d) Rengar can only be detected if he is revealed by true sight or if he stays within range of his target for too long (2 sec).
+ Small Visual clues are given to let players know Rengar is within attacking range.
Once again he can still assassinate, but he needs to be way more resourceful to do so.
