[Idea] "Follow" Feature
Hey!
Just saw this and had to enter. Really good Riot, really good, we are in dire need of a new kind of platform so we can actually voice thoughts in a more efficient way.
My ideas are the following:
- A "Follow" feature, which would have a "Follow Poster" and "Follow Thread" option, maybe even a "Follow Post" for particular posts within a Thread. ¿Why? The most important problem in the old platform is that it`s very difficult to follow anything that is said, be it by players or Rioters, and bookmarks do not alert Rioters nor players about recent updates in Threads.
Also, being able to follow someone you like and see what he/she is posting makes for a more close community overall, feels like we can actually form groups around someone who we think is cool, or voices us in the right way.
In short:
a) Follow Thread: Follows any developments in a particular Thread. Fundamental to speed up and make Riot-Community communication more efficient.
b) Follow Poster (or "Follow Summoner"): Follows every single thread or post (you could check boxes to follow both things or only one of them, maybe none) a summoner makes in the community. You can add summoners or remove them from your list to manage who you are following.
c) Follow Post: Follows every single response to a post, or every single post that quotes yours. Similar to Facebook, so you can track the impact your post had in the community or how the community reacted to it.

"Notification Bar", like, for example, Facebook or Android, you have a small bar at the top of the platform that notifies you of any new thing from your "Follow" Feature, and also of any truly significant Red posts (makes gathering attention towards relevant stuff way easier for Rioters). Also, you could pair this notifications with a nice Android/iOS app, so people can effectively track the developments in this platform from their cellphones, not having to trust outdated and unreliable apps from the current stores.

"FEK" Features: This one is self-explanatory, just go to FEK, look at the options they offer, and offer those yourselves on this platform, and you can even add some or make the existent ones better!
Apart from that, I like this platform a lot more than the forums, and hope you can achieve a lot with this! Also kudos on taking out GD! If any subforum on the internet can be labeled as messy and chaotic, that surely is General Discussion.
Cheers!
