Bring the comment box back to the bottom of the post not the bottom of the comments

Much better that way imo.

Heya - can you take a screenshot of what you mean? Right now there should be a comment box below the main post/OP as well as below the thread of comments.

Hiya, so here's too screenshots I took showing kind of what I meant, on this thresh it's above the comments and on the other one it is below, I don't often visit the LoL forums but I think it has to do with "Chronological View" and "Discussion View" that I was totally unaware of.

Maybe it's a bug only on that page. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/team-recruitment/y2EFTV63-gold-v-adc-looking-for-fun-rage-free-support It also appears below the comments for me on that link, but the comment box appears right below the post everywhere else for me.

Edit: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/team-recruitment/bEVbdwEa-recruiting-for-ranked-team Actually. Maybe it's only for the Team Recruitment boards. I clicked on a few links in Team Recruitment, comment box was way at the bottom of the comments. I just clicked on an Elise post in Red Tracker boards and the comment box is right below the post. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/wOLw54NU-another-bloodmoon-elise-thread?comment=0000

Seems that OP's issue is with the placement of the reply box in chrono view.

Yes I dislike where the quick comment box is aswell its really bad. The fact it shows the preview by default is also rather annoying

The "add a comment" box is in the same place as the "post quick reply" place on uh

[Insert any vBulletin forum here]

[Teams & Recruitment] & [GD] have forced chronological (vBulletin)-styled views

I don't see a problem here, but I agree that it's confusing.

@MrEnder: What's wrong with the preview? I have a huge slew of issues with it myself, but I want to know what's actually wrong with it-- the "post" button does not get shunted beneath your preview area as far as I can tell (opening anything in discussion view makes my browser crash).

it takes up far to much space unless you minimize it then it still takes up a good chunk of space.

...

And why is that a problem? The preview is, in discussion view (where the add a comment box is below the content), below what you're replying to.

Let me draw a diagram to illustrate this since I can't screencap it.

IN THE DIAGRAM::

A is the OP. B is the 'type reply here' box when on discussion (reddit) view. C is the preview box for that reply box. It only shows up when you've typed something into B.

D is an example of a nesting chain.

E is a reply to the OP. F is a reply to E. G is the user replying to F, specifically the box for input. H is the user's preview. I is a reply to F. J is a reply to I.

When you reply to F, you probably don't need to reference posts I and J, so there isn't an issue.

When you reply to the original post, do you need to reference what's already been said in detail, or can you just use your brain to remember if you've already read it?

I don't see why it taking up space is a problem.
