Are we ever gonna see something done about vote manipulation?

It's now to the point where 1 very prominent boards member (at least 1) has gotten away with it for so long, for so many times, they've just straight up begun frequently commenting (and no doubt upvoting) in agreement with anything they post, and in disagreement (and no doubt downvoting) with anybody saying otherwise. I've also seen them openly admit that there's a Discord server amongst them and their friends who they also get to upvote and comment on their threads whenever they make a new one. I've seen the friends also sticking up for this person against any nay-sayers and no doubt continually artificially manipulating the vote system. If something can be done, i can get 100% proof in an instance, just for this particular case as its no doubt the only one that is probably impactful enough that deserves bans (thats if Riot cares about the integrity of the boards, despite not making a rule against artificial vote manipulation)

In general though, I think after all this time surely Riot can and will do something about this to ever be able to keep up with the subreddit in terms of popularity and integrity. Otherwise if someone with any influence can tell me there's no plans to change this or this doesn't matter or "nobody cares lul", please let me know so i can leave and never trigger myself here ever again. I don't know what i was expecting when replies and replies to the replies have been a massive cluster**** to display here for over 2 years. It's nice to see Meddler and a couple others comment here so frequently but if they stayed any longer, you can guarantee they'd notice this sort of stuff too. It's a shame they or anyone higher-up probably would never get as emotionally invested as I have here

This has been somewhat discussed, and there seems to be very little to nothing that can be done about it. If you feel the issue is serious enough I recommend submitting a Support Ticket. Moderation has also opened up a Discord server to help with providing context to boards reports, inquiring on the rules, and submitting feedback; http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/miscellaneous/9RBNln7l-discord-verification

I'm not even sure what you're describing.

If there's a band of friends that all agrees to vote/comment a certain way, does it matter if they share posts via Discord, email, or some other means? Based on my experiences with my friends, not really, because even if a thread is shared there's not always a consensus on its subject.

The only thing I'd consider manipulation would be logging in on multiple accounts to post/vote. It's happened off and on a few times, but it usually gets noticed pretty quick and they get call out on it.
