The riot blind faith is real, this gets 4 downvotes in 10 minutes.

@Stephen: The boards frequently don't let you post. The forums don't have this problem. The boards take FOREVER to load even with fast internet. The forums load fast even with slow internet. The boards don't let you open multiple pages in tabs. The forums do. The boards have a 24,000 character limit for opening posts and 4096 limit for replies. The forums have a 50,000 character limit for both opening posts and replies.

Hopefully that is enough to show you why I and many others have objective hatred for the Boards.

You don't like the Boards, ok.

I don't like vBulletin, ok.

Difference of opinion. There are people who like the Boards, and they usually won't be posting in vBulletin. There are people who don't like the Boards and won't be posting in them.

I respect your opinion and can understand many grievances against it, as I expect you to understand why I don't like vBulletin. Move along.

I like these boards a lot more :)

Yeah, having stuck around for a long while

Skarner got reworked when he didn't really need it

Soraka got reworked when she didn't really need it

Cassiopeia got reworked when she didn't really need it AND the designer isn't keeping a dialogue with the players.

The game still crashes for no explicable reason

The servers keep dropping people for no explicable reason (actually from what I know of computers it's RIDICULOUSLY hard to get a stable connection so this may just be the age of the program showing)

There is no US East nor a centralized US server

Karma

So... based on those...

Riot doesn't always listen and FREQUENTLY says "Trust us because good things are coming"... and the things are not good enough. They don't make up for the bad, and it frequently takes months before they do something to make up for it-- and in that time they do something else that makes some players feel bad.

I know everyone is mad about the change, but its happenings whether everyone complains or not. The best advice i can give is to try the boards for a bit because they are pretty fun. Personally i like the boards more than the forums, but i know that not everyone shares this opinion. Sorry you are not happy with the boards man.

i have seen/read far too many people complaining about it before they even tried the boards...

Most people who complain complain because they hate change. Many others complain because they would much prefer the change not be forced onto them since it is so drastic. Tamat said this was their goal at first.

All of those champs for sure needed a rework... and new Karma is freakin amazing!

New Karma is nice. I agree.

Old Karma was cooler. Because she was VERY unique.

New Karma does not feel much like Old Karma. I much prefer Old Karma-- even though I never played with her. Karma required her team to understand how she worked. That's not a bad thing, seeing as in order to play well with any champion, you need to understand how the rest of your team works. ._."

  • Mine does not take forever to load, its actually quite quick most of the time.

Yours, not mine. :\ It takes a long while to load pages in chronological view-- longer than a single page on the forums. With image embedding courtesy of FEK.

  • I can open up multiple pages in tabs, no clue what you are doing wrong but i think its you.

No you can't

You can't go down to a thread, in chronological view, and open the pages of that thread. You can open multiple tabs for multiple threads, but once in a thread the boards do not let you click on the pages to open them in multiple tabs-- they instead will change the view on that page and not open anything in a tab.

I know what I'm talking about, I was just being brief to give an overview of everything I wanted to say.

  • You can edit your original post to add more to it. Idk why there is a limit for the first time but at least you can add more.

BUT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO THAT. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE MY POST AS LONG AS I WANT WHEN I MAKE IT THE FIRST TIME.

This is the case for the forums-- I can make a 50k character message. That limit doesn't change no matter how many times I edit the post, and I can use all of those 50k characters in my first time posting it.

So the fact that I have to edit my post in order to add content that I actually had in the first place, which I did not have to do on the forums (as I could just chain-post to get around the character limit, which was so high that there wasn't a chance of running out of space... unless you're Ephrial or Wirym, I suppose)

So really i think you just need to get use to the Boards, no point in complaining so soon you might end up liking it.

I'm used to them. I hate them. I've been utilizing them, testing them, trying things with them since it was the community beta.

So no, I am not complaining so soon. I have had ample time to adjust to their format, and I find that the forums is far superior for usability.

I'm confused...so if you personally don't think the champ needs it, they don't need it?

No. If I believe the champion doesn't need it, that's my opinion. But Cassiopeia's rework is closer to a butchering as was Skarner's original rework. Skarner's rework was needed only because of a change in philosophy (self speed >>> enemy slow).

Skarner, Soraka, Cassipoeia all had issues (Cass still does, her rework wasn't that major TBH). Karma had HUGEEEE issues.

What was wrong with Skarner? Sure, he could slow you down once he got on you, but he had a lot of trouble getting on you in the first place. I, personally, do not see any problem with that design. His VO supports it-- 'you cannot escape' etc-- and so does his appearance. He looks tough, but he also resembles a scorpion. And scorpions are somewhat fast little buggers. While I enjoy his rework, I can't see how he had problems before.

Same with Soraka. While there were certainly number adjustments to make her more fun to play against, I enjoyed having a battery of heals and disengages. She felt like somebody that I resonated well with, a healer that is able to attack best only when attacked.

Cassiopeia was strong, but her only issues were with her E's poison check and R's facing check, from a mechanical standpoint.

4033/4096...

I've actually seen a LOT of positive feedback, and even when GD was made here there were a lot of people who said overall they're pretty happy (GDers are never happy)...seems the main complaint is the colors (which seems like a pretty tiny complaint to me)
