Looking at rules of another community of a large game... (Riot please)

One of their rules really stood out because I have problems with these sorts of people on the boards as well as people say some really hurtful comments.

Things like: "Your spelling and grammar is horrible, was going to up vote this otherwise."

Grammar Police - Any post or comment made with the intention of embarrassing another player based on spelling, typos, or grammatical errors is not permitted. Not everyone speaks the same language. Keep in mind that the person you are addressing may not be a native speaker.

Is there like, a fine line for people like this? Because it seems like alls they're looking for is a fight, or to actually just Shame someone because they make simple mistakes on their posts. We're not robots!!!

these are just jerks and/or trolls, feel free to ignore them. If they were really going to upvote something, they'd try to overcome the mild difficulties on most posts with grammar issues as long as they weren't HUGE and complete translation errors.

again trolls, downvote them or report them if they seem to be actually making offensive comments. BTW disagreeing with you or not liking your ideas is not offensive. Straight insults, name-calling, or trying to bait people into an inappropriate conversation ARE against the rules.

Ok here's where we actually have a small problem. these boards right here are the boards for the NA region of the game. Look at the url on your address bar:

boards.NA.leagueoflegends.com

What does this mean? This means that this board covers basically North America, which is the United States and Canada. Now, what does that mean? It means that the languages accepted here BY THE RULES are English and French (French because I'm pretty sure some parts of Canada speak only French and not English so they have to be covered since the server is for this region and can't exclude them simply because they don't speak English, that would be discriminatory)

Now, if you are from another region, or made your account for another region, let's say OCE for example, and can type in English, then yes you're more than welcome to come post in English here on the NA boards and communicate with the player base here. If you're from EU and speak French and want to see if you can find some French-speaking allies here? Pretty sure that's perfectly fine as well (though don't quote me on this last part lol, might be better to post it real quick in help/support and ask if it's cool if you're interested in that.)

Each region has its own boards designated for it which makes it easier to manage due to being able to hire people from each of their respective regions to handle their language for accuracy and simplicity. If there was only one board for all regions then that would be pretty chaotic and painful honestly.

If they're whining and crying about a simple mistake, they're just being jerks, ignore them. Also, don't take it so personally when you come across someone like that. these are boards, and this is the internet. There will always be some people that have nothing better to do other than come be annoying online.
