I think that there should be an "Official League of Legends app" for IOS and Android.

So I really like this new boards thingy, I think it's better than reddit (my opinion). But what LoL really misses is some kind of app, and I think now that this is released Riot should make a Official League of Legends app.

Some features that would be cool:

  1. You can log-in to your account.
  2. On the homepage you can see the news like on the league site for example free champ rotations, patches, sales etc.
  3. You can view your own profile and match history, and also from other people.
  4. You can see and manage your Fantasy LCS.
  5. You can check the esports section of League, see the statistics, vote, watch vods and watch the livestreams.
  6. You can go on the boards thingy and post and stuff.
  7. You can see League related videos and stuff.

This would be really cool imo. I am not an app programmer, so I don't know if this is all possible.

Maybe we can get Riot's attention, Discuss :D

Big edit: Heey all,

I've been thinking about how I pictured the app in my mind, and I photoshopped 2 pictures together.

The first one, http://i.imgur.com/SXaS7cJ.jpg Here you can see the page you get when you open the app, the front page. This is pretty much what you can find on Leagueoflegends.com "News".

The second one, http://i.imgur.com/p8PGBGt.jpg Here you can see the interface it shows when you click the three stripes in the top left corner, it bringes up a menu. You can manage/login to your account by clicking the little "v". You can choose from a few categories that will bring you to in-app info pages.

So that was how I imagine the app, and please don't hate on my superior photoshop skills (Sarcasm and stuff) :> This means that nothing of this is really in the works as an app, but maybe someone would take a shot.

See, the beauty is from what I understand all of this is all under the same platform that's been built underneath the CB and is already somewhat linked. Now I say this with very little practical programming experience but I think the biggest hurdle would be working with the PvP.net log-in, it's been here from the start and probably won't play well with a system after it's time.

I like to keep up with what's happening in the LoL scene on my reddit app for android, and I could definitely see myself using this beta if it were an app that ran in a similar fashion. I would probably ditch /r/leagueoflegends for this if the community turned out to be less... Circlejerky. I would really like to use this beta more but it is pretty difficult to use on mobile as it is now. Even just a mobile version of the site would be an upgrade for me. Otherwise, I like what you guys have done with it. Thank you Riot!

There are some really useful Chinese and Korean apps, that inform them about news. The apps might only give you the easier way to access league of legends forums and websites, so it won't do that big of a difference.

Good idea, but it should also have a list of champions with information about them (stats, abilities, lore, skins and preview) and also a list of items with information about them of course.

Is Riot working on an iOS and Android app? I have not seen a response to this question yet. I know I have problems reading the new forum responses on my iPad.
