Change Log - July 21, 2014
With one week of the new boards under our belts, it’s time for another change log. We’ve incorporated your feedback in a number of places, and spent the rest of our time disinfecting bugs. Thanks to everyone who has stopped in, offered feedback or joined the discussions happening on the boards!

General
The first week generated a lot of great feedback, and this entry of the Change Log covers everything we’ve managed to respond to and incorporate so far. We have heard concerns about board names, and we’ll keep exploring options for new official boards. -Krylhos
- “New” icon now disappears by clicking anywhere in the comment (comment is “marked as read”)
- Logged-out states are now more clear about what actions a player can take to join the discussion
Moderation
Moderation is an on-going effort, and we’ll continue to make small improvements. For this first week, we’ve added the ability for a player whose discussion has been deleted to still see that post. This way, if your post is appropriate but in the wrong place, you can copy and paste or otherwise save the work you put into the post and find the right spot for it. -Tamat
- We made it so that the author of a deleted discussion can still view their post.
- Discussions that have been deleted are still viewable by original author
Discussions and Commenting
As we continue to find the balance between different formats for viewing, we want to enhance clarity for both options, and make it easier to participate in long-running discussions. More to come [noms on Poro-snax]. -Affordance
Some general improvements to discussions and commenting in this edition of the change log.
- Voting added to chronological view
- Increased reply threading limit
- Block quotes now have a background color
- The preview and comment box now reflect line length
- Added play button symbol to YouTube videos in comments
Bug Fixes
We addressed quite a few more bugs in this update including the problem non-NA players were having with voting, but as always, if you find any or have additional feedback, please head to the feedback section here and create a new discussion. -Bear Hat Alice
The following bugs have been squashed:
- Using the toolbar now triggers the change event for editing content
- Viewing discussions in Red Tracker now accurately displays them as “read” when you return
- Red Tracker links directly to specific comment instead of the discussion
- Fixed the rollover tooltip in all discussions
- Fixed occasional date inconsistencies
- Resolved non-NA players’ voting issues (hopefully; let us know)
- The Rundown now appears the same size as other comments/discussions
- “FORUMS” has been replaced with “Boards” in “Match History” and various error pages
- Resolved “scroll to comment” landing slightly above actual comment
- “Scrolled-to” comments now remove highlighting
- Some players were unable to vote on PBE boards, this is now fixed
- Fixed file attachment issues
- Help & Support is now filterable in the search feature
- (PBE BOARD BUG FIX) Removed region switcher
