Carry over how we last had things sorted

Could we get a feature to carry over how we last had the page sorted? Like, if I sort by Recent, go into a thread, and then go back to the main community page, it defaults to being sorted by Hot topics again.

Even better would be letting us make that a default setting, or have it remember between sessions. Though I wouldn't complain too much if I just have to re-sort it once when I first get on.
