Replies make comments very confusing :(

When someone is replying someone else, it just looks like a regular comment on my screen. This can make reading comments (especially to discussion/AMA threads) a huge hassle, trying to figure out who they're talking to and what the topic originally was by scrolling and re-reading, sometimes through multiple pages. I usually just give up. :( This is especially true for Red posts.

I'm assuming people using the Reply feature does it to notify the individual, but won't include the original post (in case it might be huge) to save on forum space. Is there a way you could link the replied post somehow in the reply feature? Reading replies to specific comments are so confusing without a way to link them.
