So I'm a graphic designer / former forum community mod. I hope I can offer some style / UI suggestions from my experiences.

Pros
• User Profiles - This is a welcome update to what the old forums were lacking. An ability to see what you've posted was much needed.
• Nested Comments - Keep this. I think a slightly larger indent or color difference between replies could help organize it better.
• Red Tracker - wonderful. I like how easy it is to navigate rioter posts via the sidebar.
• General formatting - also liking how the style is going so far. I think your block quotes are very nicely designed and easy to read.

Cons
• Taxonomy (Sidebar) - The Community and Sub-Community right now is going to need a little work. It's functional currently because the beta is just launched and the conversations as just starting. Once the volume from the original forums hits it's gonna get messy.
I'd argue the current live (non-beta) list is good - and can work easily with this new format. You have plenty of room on the sidebar (I'd also move the red tracker to the top.)

• Auto-Formatting - Could use some work. You have the guide there which is good but the space space enter for a single line return is... slightly off putting?

Suggestions
(These are more or less style and UI ideas, nothing I'd consider particularly game-breaking but could enhance usage.)
• Riot names should be more pronounced. The simple color change isn't as noticeable.

• Sub-community sidebar could use some attention. Bullets would make a huge difference.
• A "you posted in this thread" indicator would be wonderful. Just a little icon or something to let you know that's a topic you participated in.
• To add, a "there have been x comments here since you last viewed this thread." Example: http://i.imgur.com/YFccyDw.png
• Perhaps a way to sort your own topics and discussions by their popularity as well.
• I think default display should be traditional new and recently replied threads, not best voted. This is paramount because, again, once these forums get more popular and more used, too many topics will fall through the cracks when the front page is dominated by popular discussions. Fresh blood will fall by the way-side. This is detrimental to a discussion based community and can quickly stagnant your content.

Bugs
• Bold seems to not work. *edit: Actually, bold does work, but the weight difference is so slight it's hardly noticible.
• Italics makes the font smaller / hard to read.

Will probably update this as time goes on.
If anybody has additional suggestions they'd like me to illustrate like my above examples, let me know and I'll see what i can do.

Shrunk the sidebar to 250px and the main content to 675 pixels.
