[Feedback] 3 Improvements I'd like to see

All pretty simple:

  1. Ability to search by author. I was trying to look up my own posts. I see you can click on a user and see their posts, but I don't know how to look up a users posts if their name isn't on the screen already to click on.

  2. Ability to filter by more than one sub-communities. I'd like to be able to pick a subset of more than one of the sub-communities at a time. Say I want to see posts from most categories but not 'help&support' and 'live balance'. That would be nice.

  3. Better indicators for what depth layer you are on a discussion branch. Maybe a whole set of color backgrounds indicating depth, or number indicators displayed or anything else creative you can come up with. I just find myself very frequently reading lines of discussion and scrolling down then realizing i'm lost as to what exact depth of quoting i'm on and therefore what the comments are replying to. I have to scroll up and check then scroll back down often. Another possible solution could be a button to minimize branch layers at the BOTTOM of the last post in a layer. this could let you easily minimize it at the end of reading that layer and you would immediately see again what the following reply is in response to with no scrolling needed.

Thanks riot for the work on the forums, I think you will be able to create a great tool for community discourse here! I'm particular excited to see how you can evolve this past the basic reddit functionality.

You don't actually need to search yourself anymore. In the top right corner of the page, click my profile, and you should find a list of everything you have posted here. You can filter this too.

As for multiple subcommunity filters, the Idea has been passed around, and I beleive either krylhos or montag is on that.

They are exploring atm different ways to figure out who is replying to who.

Hope that helped! Also, welcome to the beta!
