My discussion got downvoted a minute after I posted it...

This is weird because the post I wrote is huge and takes, in the very least, 5-10 minutes to read. The dude didn't even read my post!

What's worse is that I got istantly thrown out of the "Hot" 1st page, which kind of sucks... Not as many people will actually see my post.

Can't we have a better compromise for upvotes and downvotes and post viewability?

Yeah, some people like downvoting for kicks here. This is what happens when riot closes the real GD and forces everyone into the beta boards.

Pick better titles. I will absolutely downvote on title alone. Eg, "Tristana needs a nerf".

To my knowledge, Riot is planning to have a small buffer period where voting on new threads doesn't change their visibility for x amount of time.

Do you feel that would resolve this issue?

This is why the old champion concept community has largely given up on posting new concepts and abandoned the scene.

You can spend two hours on a concept, post it, and some twat comes along and hits the downvote button on the new posts page for teh lelz and there goes your concept.

You have successfully discovered why the system of 'self moderation' that Riot implemented in these boards isn't actually very functional.

On the bright side, they offer the option of 'recent' ordering, which completely resolves the issue.
