Why is a post sometimes Post of the Day for more than one day?

It's only for the weekends that it's more than one day. Weekdays always update :)

Edit: There has been at least once where the discussion was really hot and I edited the PotD title to reflect that it was up for the 2nd day in a row. And I try to leave a fun or rich conversation topic up for the weekend :)
