[Suggestion / Feedback] Forum community features!

So I noticed that this forum lacks a few things that are really nice to have.

The first would definitely be thread bumps. Threads with lots of discussion or comments should totally be bumped to the top with a time of last post or a last poster display in the main window. Its such a pain going through every single thread that I've posted in trying to see if a valid point has been made or if the post hasn't been posted at all.

I was going to say second the formatting for posts isn't obvious but I just noticed the formatting guide in the bottom left hand corner, perhaps make it a drop down underneath the post instead of a pop up. Its a pain to click it and have to check it and then tab back down to do things. This is another quality of life upgrade!

Last the most important feature that this forums lacks is... A QUOTE BUTTON!!! You need a quote button, its super duper important and the use of it would successfully make conversation between the community much more fluent.

I hope these suggestions are improved upon in the comments! Ill be refreshing and checking in every once in awhile!

One of the things this platform aims to do is remove thread bumping.

In general I actually disagree with the first half, the current system rewards valid discussion and really popular topics without benefiting trolls or people making pointless threads just to incite posting. Having an incentive for volume of posting makes things easier to abuse and sort of get around the system requiring people to have relevant threads.

For your second half, this functionality already exists. A little <New!> icon appears on the thread windows whenever there are new posts there. It's pretty basic currently and I think Riot's planning to give us the ability to choose which threads we want to follow and potentially have followed threads displayed in our Profiles!

In general I think the reason this isn't a highly requested feature is that it's a feature that's just there for either occasional reference or new users of the platform. Once you learn the formatting you don't need that functionality at all, so spending development resources on it isn't necessarily efficient. It'd be like spending a lot of time working on the level 1-5 experience for players despite the fact it's only like 0.5% of games played.

There's some basic functionality for this, and to make it a true quote all you have to do is add the person's name first!
