Can the "Report A Bug" section get the respect it deserves?
I've spent quite a few hours on that board each day for about a week, trying to scope out threads that are reporting bugs that are either known or mistaken as a bug to help spotlight the really annoying bugs that hurt a champion's gameplay often.
I've noticed that a lot of threads go unanswered or without acknowledgement. I understand that it's difficult for Riot to show that they have seen the thread for every thread, and that this isn't the only section, nor is it the agenda for anyone's workday. However, I feel like this section should be receiving more attention than what it's being given. Players that are kind enough to jump on the forums and post a bug they encountered should at least be given an acknowledgement post, especially if the issue hasn't already been reported. People are less likely to continue posting bugs they find if they feel they are not being heard. There are a lot of popular champions with bugs that really affect how they feel, whether it hurts their gameplay or not.
I guess my main question is - What's the process for moving bugs reported from this section into a developer's hands? Can this section, aimed to fix what's not "OP," but actually broken, get more attention than GD from Riot? Specifically threads with bugs that aren't commonly reported.
This section is arguably one of the most important on the board, and it should be treated as such.
Thank you for your time.
