Instead of Reddit style why not just improve the current forums

Instead of making things reddit style just improve the current forums. There are plenty of things that can be done to improve the current forums/community/etc. The upgrade to the website was a great start with things like champion lore and information. It is not that reddit is bad or anything but forums are simply better when it comes to the official websites.

The ways things are makes it harder to look through threads. The way you can search through post that you made is an improvement though.

Why not just do this for the forums we already have. Make it so that users can have Avatars of champions/icons in game. Make it so that users can search through what ever threads they make and what threads they post on. If those things were done the current forums would be perfect.

I'm with this guy. Reddit is OK enough if I just want to hop online and check out the latest scoop, but the issue with it is that we'll lose a lot of things like the Skin Ideas like Pool Party Ziggs and Astronautlius, because eventually the decay of "support" that the thread will get on this reddit-style board will make sure that they fall off, and are never seen again.

This is a question that they haven't clearly answered. I'm pretty sure vbulltin allows for different forms of sorting, but honestly it is best suited to the chronological order. I still don't see why we NEED to challenge that, as alot of us actually prefer it and these forums don't really do chronological in a logical fashion.

I believe they somewhat answered that question. It's a lot of work because it's based on some foundation that doesn't allow for many adjustments without having to rewrite everything. They would just have to create everything from scratch anyways. So they thought, "Why not just make a new and better forum?"

I, however, wish that they just worked on the original forums.
