Don't forget the best part! It's not overrun by troll threads! Granted that's lazy moderating, but I do enjoy these forums FAR more than the old ones. The layout is better. The contrast is nice. And the recently posted and recently replied lets me dig up threads that haven't been upvoted yet. Moreover I like the voting mechanic. As long as the mods pay attention to them and filter where needed, I'm happy. Aside from that, I actually notice the mods on this site. Couldn't find them on the other forum.
Honestly, I like having two forums. I know that's not the end-game plan, but people who don't like these forums can keep using the other ones and it keeps the community tighter-knit. I'm starting to recognize posters -as open-ended as these forums are. In the only one, I only recognized them in fan-fiction threads. :\ Putting this one live and revamping the old ones to look prettier for them would keep everyone extremely happy I think. The people on this forum seem to just think differently. I don't know if any of the other posters have felt that making the switch, but I really like the community here (in this forum, screw all the trolls and afk's in-game.) There's also far fewer rage threads here and when I do them, they're usually ten times more mature than the ones on the old thread which doesn't raise my blood pressure every time I see them. It's nice.
I have one suggestion and one gripe though (you knew it was coming.)
Custom avatars. I like that we can have our in-game icon be our avatar, but I'd prefer to upload my own. I doubt I'm alone in thinking that -and make them bigger; it's a part of our identity.
The load time for the pages. I believe it's running scripts, but good lord does it take forever sometimes. Dunno if this is something you can fix, but it'd be much appreciated.
Also, You should make the comment post text bigger, I'm looking in the preview instead of at the textbox i'm writing on.
