About public correspondence on Boards.
A year or two back, I used to bitch a lot about how the devs are not responsive enough on the forums (the old forum) about serious issues and usually pay attention only to the threads which had LoL fan-art and threads where someone is being praised (Riot or an employee). It lead me to believe that they are just catering fan-boy service.
However after the old forum was shut down and the new Boards came live, I noticed a stark difference on how the public acting on the new Boards. In the old forums, there were more intelligent discussions about the game rather than just the usual whiny rant. In the boards its the opposite. Number of people crying about changes (any changes) has become significantly more. Take any major change (new HUD, VUs, Map modes, etc) and you will invariably find around 20-30 percent of the population crying about how they dont like it.
The bigger concern here is that these individuals are giving less technical feedback and are expressing the situation as if its a REALLY BAD GAME-BREAKING issue. You will find at least 3-5 threads. If Riot were to listen to these, then we will lose a lot of newer things (admit it, you need some change, its an old game with an old format and not everyone plays ranked). Some of these I like myself and don't want it to be reverted to the previous version just because a few people made a huge deal out of it (Im looking at you, anti-NewHUD crowd.)
Please dont make a big fuss about it. Make one single thread and state your problems like mature people. Riot is listening to us more than enough regarding the inter-champ/inter-item balance. (10 minutes have passed and client is still scanning files, WHY YOU DO THIS RITO!) If there is someone who never used to visit the old forums, go visit it, it is still archived with read-only status.
TL;DR: Lot more crying about the game, be careful about whom you listen to Riot.
