Just as the title says, does anyone notice that suddenly the ability to hit reply and reply to specific comments/posts is gone? Like I remember you could hit reply and it would add to the bottom of that persons post for conversation purposes. But it seems to be gone, now it's just permalink and quote. While quote is fine sometimes it's good to be able to reference to the OP of the quote.
Can you please explain?

GDers complained so much about hating the 'reddit-style' boards that Riot gave them a section to themselves where it isn't even an option to view it in conversation mode. In GD, there is no 'reply' button on each specific post. You just reply to the thread as a whole, and add quotes if needed (kinda like how it was on the old forum).

He's right, reply is gone. But if the border as I type this is any indication, then QUOTE is the new REPLY. This makes sense in that people who use CHRONOLOGICAL view (even outside of GD) were having trouble following threads of replies as people using conversation view would not quote the OP they were replying to. This forces you to quote the person you're responding to so ppl in chrono view can follow the conversation.
EDIT: having posted this, I can now see that I was correct. Using QUOTE functions in Conversation View like REPLY, but forces you to quote the person you're responding to so people in Chronological View have context.
Zielmann1 votesWhat I see on my side just doesn't correlate with this, though. I checked on a thread this morning before I posted, and Reply was an option. And at this very moment, I'm responding to your post by using the Reply button. Strange.
But I'm down with the change to forcing the use of Quote instead, to make it easier to map a conversation in chronological view.

So yeah I'm stupid.
Below the word DISCUSS right above the initial reply option, theirs a Switch to Discussion View and that brings the Reply back. Clicking switch to chronological view gets rid of the reply option. Hahah...sweet
