Leaguers! Help me out- since when is THIS word a dirty word...?

Yo league community, I need your knowledge!

So, I was typing in postgame lobby chat, and I was going to say something was "majorly so-and-so", so I abbreviated, I only typed the first three letters of "majorly"- m & a & j. This got censored out to my surprise (and also, it kinda made me look like I was saying something way worse than what I actually was). I expressed my shock in chat, saying, "why is ---- censored out?" But I couldn't write it, it would get edited out if I put dashed between the letters, put it in quotations, put spaces, etc.

So my question is, what does em-ay-jay mean, and why is it so bad?

It's a fairly new account, haven't gotten around to changing those settings yet...never would have learned that riot's got issues with this word if I had turned it off, though

Most of the games that have chat filters, that I've played, have outsourced that function. They're fairly cheap to purchase and fairly time consuming to construct in house.

And even if the chat filter was Riot's, they have very clearly stated that cursing has no impact at all on how the IFS scores chat. The zero tolerance portion of the IFS does search for slurs and the phrases that urge self harm, but aside from that, the specific words used have no effect.

The Boards has a custom filter which only applies to hate speech. It's a lot more relaxed than the client's filter.

I think demolish (or was it destroyer) was censored in the client.

Was trying to communicate with one of the players whom had that word in the name and it kept censoring out . Twas hilarious.
