I don't need to see what the enemy team has to say after the game. (rarely is it anything worth while) I don't need to chat with my team in or after game. The community has been extraordinarily toxic lately, for me at least. I just want to play the game. I don't want to deal with its toxic community.
The bigger question is if that was a possibility and the playerbase did that, would that help overall? Although quite a bit of the community is toxic (I'm under the assumption that based on my experience in bronze, 4 in 10 people you encounter could be considered reportable), ignoring a murderous bear outside your cabin doesn't suddenly make it disappear. Unless something is done about it (fish full of laxatives), it's eventually going to find a way to rip your intestines to shreds.
Not sure about the muting, but in the last 2 years the community's become about 300% more toxic undoubtedly.
