Odds of Trolling Behavior getting banned?

Just played a game with a Ken top that died once to Veigar after he roamed from mid around 5min. The sylas then TP'd bot, got a double, roamed mid and killed mid and headed back top. When he got back top, their Jg ganked and he died again. From that point on, even though NO one had said anything negative at all about his dying or Ahri's or ours down bot (I was Kaisa w Pyke support). Kennen decided it was time to troll until we ff'd or lost.

He made his way bot after B and stayed there soaking xp and taking my farm even though we pinged and asked him to leave. I left and went top, and eventually it just evolved into him following me around. He ended game 1/11/1, flamed everyone else (No cursing, just playing stupid acting like he was trying and it was everyone else's fault but his). When he followed me down bot, he also blatantly inted the jinx twice, as I pinged him back and made 0 effort to come help as I'm not going to engage a 5/0 Jinx/Leo as a 2/0 Kaisa/ 0/8 kennen.

Anyone watching the game would very obviously be able to tell he's trolling when you combine chat. However, I've had MULTIPLE games like this where I report, wait for tribunal to do its thing, and when I check in the next day or a few days later these people are still playing after obviously trolling and being toxic.

I want to reiterate: NO ONE said anything at all when Sylas was 4/0. No one flamed eachother or ken. He randomly decided he was going to troll after he said, "Game's over" when sylas was coming back top from mid. What does it take for someone trolling to actually be punished? I know riot decreased the frequency of the notification that lets you know when someone you've reported has been punished (or maybe theyre just not punishing at all. I had a lucian flame for the entirety of the whole 35 min game, calling us all kinds of things. Checked back in a week later and he was still playing, and I've also had a duo lock in braum/thresh with cleanse/heal and proceed to just run around the entire map because their trio got on but they didn't want to dodge champ select), so I'm not expecting that to show, but I really don't want to check back to his account 3 days later and see him still going around trolling games. Like, I looked at his history and he hovers 8-10 deaths almost every game. I can't say for sure those are also trolling, but I CAN say that it happened in mine and there might be a pattern worth looking into. I'm not that mad (believe me, lmao) since it was a normal, I'm more just annoyed by the amount of people trolling and the amount of people so ready to FF15 because they died once and don't want to play from behind; it's getting ridiculous, not only in normals but in ranked as well.

Mods, how do riot employees go about banning trolling behavior, and do you guys think that - based on what I described - he could get punished? Thanks in advance for any helpful information.

TL;DR, guy trolled. It's obvious in chat and watching the game replay. I've had numerous instances like this where the trolling/griefing is obvious but players don't get punished from that I can see and it's starting to become annoying. Wondering what it takes for people to be punished for trolling/what do they have to do.

Didnt read your paragraph but I assume by your title you had a troll in your game and want to know if theres a chance they will be banned.

The answer is yes.

But only if they troll enough to make it to the front page of reddit. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Hate to break it to you, but trolls aren't punished. Frustrated people who rage get punished. Here's two scanrios:-

1 - Your top feeds constantly. You rightly call him trash and ask him to uninstall and go play solitaire. You get punished.

2 - Your top feeds constantly. You run it down and say nothing at all the whole match. No punishment.

The chances of a troll get banned? 100%

The time it takes too get to review his case? Unknown

Meaning; they'll get punished, we just don't know when it will happen. But eventually the system will catch up with the real trolls.

The way league of legends handles their chat restrictions or bans is complete bullshit... Its pathetic. A permanent ban for harassment is fucking dumb! Its how league of legends handles their problems man. Do we get refunded when we get permanent bans? Fuck no... They don't even review the game play data! That whats makes league support so pathetic dude.
