Two week ban without no prior warnings?

I got banned for saying this: Game 1 sscaryy: no smirte sscaryy: thx sscaryy: JIEUSS sscaryy: THAT DMG sscaryy: OMG sscaryy: Omg sscaryy: They nearly instakilled me sscaryy: LMAO sscaryy: ye sscaryy: what sscaryy: and? sscaryy: bc i wouldve died sscaryy: ik sscaryy: no i couldntve sscaryy: i didnt havbe uilt sscaryy: have ult sscaryy: %%%% sscaryy: 1v1 me %%%got sscaryy: do it sscaryy: please sscaryy: %%%got sscaryy: olaf has a point sscaryy: still wont 1v1 me i see sscaryy: gg

I can KINDA see how I would get a ban for this, but I had seem on other forum posts that there had been tiers of bans, like chat-restrictions, but I had never gotten any of these it had just went straight to the 2 week ban, anybody know why?

Hate speech and pejorative language earn an immediate escalated ban. No passing go, no $200, no chat restrictions.

I will admit the league community gets butt hurt easily.

But when you plan on using "negative language" you need to know that how you word it matters. Its a very thin line to tread though, I have yet to get any form of punishment because I tread that line very carefully.

Riot has a zero tolerance policy against hate speech and it can cause you to skip punishment tiers.

14-day ban is a warning. Be glad it wasn't a permaban.

For your future League career: it's worth knowing that most people don't consider hate speech to be something that deserves just a slap on the wrist. This isn't just a Riot thing.

It probably doesn't help that I come from cs:go, which is extremely toxic and they don't ban for anything at all.

Also I have only had league for about a week so this isn't very great.

Yep. The two have VERY different community goals, I believe.

League is, ultimately, supposed to be a fun, welcoming place for people. They come down heavily on harassment, insults, elitism, constant negativity, blame-placing, rank-shaming, and...well...most forms of harassment, abuse, etc.

If you're a friendly, constructive, helpful player there's a place for you here. If you aren't, can't, or simply don't want to be, you might be better off finding another game.

It really isn’t? I just made it whenever my friend had told me to start playing which was probably about a week or so ago

league is a pussy community. its like a mental exercice to have to do every game to not talk shit to your feeding teammates. i fucking hate it but i disciplined myself to almost never chat ingame which is why i have honor 5 even tho im an extremely toxic player in every game expect league.

its hard, but just /mute all and imagine you are playing with bots. that will make the game more enjoyable.

What I had also found stupid was that me and him were arguing and he used %%%got a couple times also and some other words, and I don’t think he had gotten a ban
