Incase you didnt know, when you have a permabanned account, you get a popup that tells you that your banned, and then you get logged out instantly. Honestly it should just let you use the client just not allow you to play any games. Also you should be able to use your RP that you bought to gift your friends or something.

disregardable4 votesIt's a problem with the way the store works. I noticed it when I was 2 week banned. In order to gift anyone anything, you need to be connected to pvp.net, ie you need to be able to use your friends list. Riot doesn't want banned players to be able to chat with friends on their accounts, so you can't send any gifts or even VIEW your friendslist to add to your new account.

For one thing, riot should ban more people than they do based on metrics that I have observed through personal experience and observations. No one knows that saying "report elise AFK, or report Thresh spamming, or he called me a n**g Je*" all will get you banned under their failed system.

So, in short they should let you spend RP you just purchased even if your accounts banned, not on yourself, but on your friends because their system currently is NOT working as intended.

The system doesn't instantly check to see if what you got reported for was false or not. Your account may be reported, but it doesn't STAY on your account once the system double checks it. Yea, there should be some sort of better assurance there, but if you weren't toxic, it doesn't stay on you.
People just wanted to know when they've been reported. So Riot gave it to them.

There are a set of terms and conditions you agree to when you sign up for this game. In these terms and conditions, it specifically states the rules and the penalties that happen if you break the rules.
And no, there is nothing illegal about it. Very similar clauses exist in many places IRL as well as online. You can spend $5000 dollars on 50 yard line tickets to the Super Bowl. But if you do something stupid in the first 10 minutes of the game and get thrown out, you don't get your $5000 back.

The system appears to be working fine. Permabans are handed out after a PERSON reviews your account. If you show a long history of bad behavior and previous bans had no effect on your behavior, then you get permabanned.

A false report won't get you banned. Bans occur if you're reported frequently, not just from one game. Again, you have to have a history of being reported. If you reach a certain threshold of reports, you're account gets reviewed. If whoever reviews it sees you're toxic, then you get a ban. Depending on the severity and what other bans you have received in the past, you may get a simple slap on the wrist or you may lose your account.

Their system is working just fine. And no, they shouldn't let you spend the RP. If you get thrown in jail, they don't let you out to go buy things at Walmart for your friends.
A permanent ban means you lose all access to the game, period. There are no special clauses or exceptions. It's like getting banned from a bar or store. They're not going to let you back in just because you want to buy drinks/gifts/etc. for friends.
Or put simply, a permaban is the equivalent of Riot telling you that they don't want you here. At all.

This would just fuel more people into doing that since they would have little to no punishment since they are already "permaban" but would still have access to their account.
I rather they keep it how it is now. You aren't suppose to have your account when you are punished because you broke the rules and deal with the consequences!

If you buy a season pass to Disneyland and get banned for life after just 2 rides, you don't get to give your pass to a friend or put on a disguise to use the pass. You are basically renting content (rides) with RP (tickets), and the RP is the thing you actually bought which was delivered in full and attached to your account (pass).

Two things.
If you owe your friend something, it's on you. You are the one who got permabanned. You had several tries to fix your behavior, but you didn't. So now you failed your friends.
Second, okay, this analogy can work, but you aren't taking it far enough. You need to take it a step further. You were inside Disneyland, but you were escorted off the grounds by screaming 'FUCK' at the top of your lungs in the middle of Main Street. You asked people getting off rides if they were morons for getting on that ride. Disney would want you as far off the property as they could manage, because there's no reason for them to believe you aren't going to harass people.

Also, I've seen way worse toxicity than that. So, now I know that "wtf" is a toxic phrase. So is, "peace" , "yeh" , and so many other things that they pasted in that chat log. The only thing I see wrong in that is the homophobic slur. The rest of it is just stuff, and I don't see why it was considered toxic.

it's unfortunate that such a huge amount doesn't get spent, but when you bought those RP, Riot already received the money, you were just unable to spend before your account got banned. so technically they don't care what happens afterwards.
