🔒 About Kassadin, when is it good to max E or Q? [CALLING ALL KASSADIN MAINS]

I was wondering if i should max E or Q? I usually go with maxing Q, for the lower cooldown and the silence if i'm aganist ADC's (AD Caster. Got you there didn't I?). Mostly because someone like zed, or talon relies on their abilities. Talon for his W, Q but if i silence him just as he is about to use Q on me, i can just walk away. I am also sure that Kassa's Q range is longer than Talons's. I almost never max E, but i max Q even vs yasuo. I don't know if its good or not. Mostly because yasuo has his wind wall but, if yasuo uses his wind wall on top of you. It actually goes behind you I think. If i'm vs a zed, I think that it is a little easier, since zed is under the ADC catergory, silencing him when he is about so do his combo and then do return damage would be better. Not taking his shadow placement into account of course. I don't know if this is enough information or anything but, feel free to correct me in the commenting section.

The Q doesn't actually silence. While it says "Silenced" when you target them with it, it's really more of a 0.00000000001 second silence, just long enough to interrupt channels (as the ability says it does), but not long enough to actually do anything else to the target.

You max either Q or W first, depending on if you're facing a melee opponent or a ranged opponent. Fights with melee enemies will often be blowing abilities and then turning to autos while you wait. The W gives so much mana regen when used on an enemy champion and does a lot of damage to them with both the passive and the active. You max Q first when you're expecting to take a lot of poke and need to be able to poke back or get the shield to block some. You max W first when you're expecting to be in melee range of your opponent and hitting them in the face a lot (IE melee opponents), and that's how I use him as a counter pick to Akali and Fizz and Ekko and any other melee AP assassin, but it also makes him good vs AD assassins. Never max E first. E is the ability that builds stacks as you and opponents cast and, on activation, shoots a slowing cone in the enemy's faces. It doesn't get much better as you rank it up, not compared to a larger magic damage shield or the amount of damage and mana regen that W gives.

shouldn't this be in gameplay?

  1. wrong boards. Ask in gameplay. Player behavior is about how to interact with other players, best ways to deal with teammates and/or enemy players when they are being toxic, etc...

  2. Q no longer silences, it just interrupts channeled spells. Be sure you understand which spells are channeled vs which spells have a start up. Those that are channeled can be interrupted. Those that have start ups cannot.

it'd be good to put a point in E once u have q at 4 then max w maybe depending on the teams you max w or e

Good morning,

This thread belongs over in Gameplay, but it has some good discussion, so it's only being locked.
