My friend thinks he doesn't contribute to holding games hostage

My friend just barely in a game after we had a teemo jungle actively say that he was going to troll and feed (and then proceeded to do so, he didnt take a single jungle camp, and rushed berserkers greaves into redemption, and hugged lanes feeding the enemy and leaching exp) refused to surrender multiple times despite the game being an obvious lost cause. Literally everyone on the enemy tea was fed in some regard or another, and almost all of them could at least 1v2 if not 1v3 us. However, because my friend was the only person on our team who by luck that the enemy jungler didn't gank his lane early, stayed relatively even. He then outright refused to surrender even as the rest of our team died countlessly under tower to our enemies with no way to stop it. because he refused to surrender, (obviously teemo did as well) we were forced to stay in the game to the end. despite this, he claims he was not in any way contributing to holding the game hostage because he "was still having fun". This is not the first time he has done this. What are your thoughts?

Everyone on the team gets a vote. He can vote however he wants. Although I'd probably stop playing with him if I were you. But that's just me. I am not one to surrender so easily, but I also do not enjoy playing with the never give up, never surrender type either. You shouldn't give up so easily, but you should also know a lost cause when you see one and not waste your time.

You played a match of League of Legends to not play it? Tf is that? I rarely surrender because I started playing to play the damn game.
