Loading Screen Hopes

The League of legends loading Screen is beautiful, but there are a few key things I would like changed.

Why cant we see the enemies rank border? The Ranked border you get at the end of each season is a way to display your skill to your enemies. It shows your dedication to the game. What reason would there be to not let us see? It doesnt stop us from learning their rank. If we really want to know anyway we can just check a site like mobalytics or LoLSumo.

Why cant we see their mastery? This is almost identical to the first one. If we really want to know we can check it anyway. It would add some flair to the enemy team.

Can we have presets to change the background of the loading screen? For instance, instead of having the background be summoners rift, could we have it be Shurima, or the Void, or the Shadow Isles? It would be nice to personalize it to our own interests in the game.

Last but not least, can we have the splash art changed when we get a chroma? I dont mean that you should create an entirely new splash art for each chroma, but i think it would be nice to have a recolor of whatever skin we have a chroma for. For instance, if i get the blue lucian chroma, could my loading screen lucian be blue? Skins and chromas are a way we show our dedication to champions, and we like that to be reflected in the loading screen. We dont want to just HAVE it so we know our dedication, we want everyone else to see it too. We want the world to know that we like this champion.

Well, that about wraps it up! I hope someone at Riot sees this and thinks its a good idea, upvote if you would like this too!

Why cant we see the enemies rank border?

Because that would tell people on the opposite team who to pile on (think lower elo)

Why cant we see their mastery?

For lower elo it is intimidating to know you would be facing an "experienced" player

Can we have presets to change the background of the loading screen?

This one is feasible, the question then would be "is it worth doing this over other stuff?"

Last but not least, can we have the splash art changed when we get a chroma?

Probably not, the bandwidth to support splash recolors is not worth it for what you are paying for a chroma

If i could offer a suggestion, make all of these changes optional in the settings portion of the league client. Enable them when created but give one of those heads up warnings that say you can toggle it on or off because maybe someone doesn't want that information because mentally it helps them (aka me).

I absolute agree with you about the fact they are hiding that info when we can easily just op.gg our opponents.

Well as much as the first 2 would be cool and all, I understand why they aren't there. rank border and mastery can tilt some players or make them automatically perform worse just because they already expect to lose. Also, it could mean for more toxicity "HAHA DIAMOND NOOB BOOSTED LOST LANE 2 SILVER". I understand that this information is available from 3rd parties, but I know lots of people don't waste their time looking at them. I already see this behavior, but I feel like it would be more prevalent if these were implemented. The rank one especially, but I can see some negatives with champion mastery as well.

The third idea is actually super awesome, I really hope riot implements something like that someday.

As much as this would be nice, It wouldn't be as easy as you might expect. There are some cases where this would work. Zac for example has a very simple chroma scheme. It is literally just Zac but a different color. In some cases, the chroma coloring would require the whole background to be recolored due to the color schemes blending in too much, or just not matching at all. Ultimately I think this would be cool, but there are better things that riot could focus time and money into.

Riot doesn't want people to know othere's rankings and i agree with this. Often times in a match my team mates go like "oh know this person is plat " and idk if it affects their gameplay or they just want to use the person as an excuse but it's bothered some. I play blindly i see an opponent i'm aiming to win or give them a hard time beating me. I've played many many matches no doubt i have played agaisnt plats and diamonds at times but i have never felt their skill levels were beyond mine, very few times have i ever felt like praising the enemy and i had no idea what their rank nor did i care i just knew that they were good.

For me, I just wanna hide all of it, from my team and from the enemy. I WILL show it if I want to. It's just, when I'm playing bad, my team will flame me and will say I don't deserve my rank and Mastery [sg-soraka]

Playing devil's advocate I guess, but the first two points I think they could argue is kind of tilting the enemy before the game starts? The other two points though sound pretty good.

I have always wanted all of these things but at the end of the day most players just tab out and go on reddit or youtube during the loading screen.

I remember when we could see everyone's ping and rank in the Loading Screen. The one lagging the most was camped by the whole enemy team. Same for the lowest rank. Sometimes we even started the game with "GG they're all Gold and we're unranked".
Good times.
