I've pretty much lost count on how many times I've seen people use this asshole of a phrase. Whether it's on my team or on the enemy team people still have the nerve to act like a boasting proud winner.
Packun Flower4 votesYup. My friend made a smurf to test this and the only thing he said after every win was GGEZ or "So easy i thought i was fighting bots" he evenyually did get hit with a chat ban for "Unsportsmanlike conduct"
So yes, it is punishable.
zPOOPz3 votesOn the scale of 1 to toxic, this is very mild. However mild it is though, it only takes me like 3 mouse clicks to issue a report. I report each and every single ggez be it on my team or the enemy. With 3 mouse clicks I will add this to their toxic meter in term of frequency and who knows, this one might just be the straw that broke the camel's back and trip their toxic meter over the line to punishment.
Do report each and every single ggez (takes like 5 seconds for 3 mouse clicks). Trust me, it will add to their toxic meter regardless of how mild it truly is. 5 seconds, not a big loss to you whether it trips the toxic meter or not.

Basically, if they say ggez once every while, and they aren't toxic anywhere else, they probably won't get punished. But over time/games, it builds up and can earn them a punishment.
zPOOPz1 votesMost people who are punished don't understand that the IFS works on a "pattern" of behaviors. They are too fixated on the 1-3 SAMPLE games shown they fail to realize that there are most likely many other minor toxic games that also contribute to this pattern that culminated to their punishment.

As for report notifications, you only get those if your report is the final one that gets them punished. Unfortunately, that makes them quite rare, something I think Riot needs to improve on (for instance, Blizzard sends an email if your Overwatch report led to a punishment, which I think is a much better way of doing it)

SoulAced1 votesIt is slightly annoying seeing someone who doesn't deserve a win saying "ggez" after, but it doesn't really do any harm to anything. Especially if that is one of the few things they say in the game, which is how it usually is. It is not really toxic and they could probably be reported a million times for just saying "ggez" at the end of the game and not even get a chat restriction, so no it probably isn't a punishable offense.

ModPrandine1 votesIt is punishable but by itself is highly unlikely to result in a punishment. Generally though the people who say "ggez" are also saying other more rude, mean and disrespectful things to go along with it.

I have worked in a few jobs for many years (most of them in a corporate environments and factory settings) and have attended a great many private venues and NONE of them tolerate anyone being a dick toward other people regardless of the reason. Maybe one day I will work a job or attend a private venue (or even public ones) that allows these type of toxic behaviors and I will see exactly what you mean by hard time!

A single report on ggez will do nothing because ggez is quite mild as far as toxicity goes. However, if one does it so frequently it becomes a pattern with that one, then it becomes very toxic.
I'm not talking about one or two instances of ggez. I am talking about someone doing it frequently. I am simply helping Rito keeping a running count on said instances.
