In the first one for very different reasons than the other two. This in the other two is the problem.
Deep Terror Nami1 votesI can see why it might look like vote manipulation, but those boards have some small sub-communities that tend to vote for and against certain content and/or people, and for that is more often that it's just several different people that think the same way.
When I see there is one of these sub-communities that opposes my views I simply avoid them, because there is nothing wrong with them agreeing with each other and you'll tend to get lots of downvotes if you decide you want to directly oppose them. This is why I don't participate in GD discussions, or even on some M&G posts.
